Mission description: Lea, an elderly rich woman recently had to fire her servant for stealing from her; but she's in desperate need of some house work being done. She has a short list and 200 Ryo she's willing to pay to anyone who will help her out.
Mission details: Lea is a very sweet and very kind old woman whose just trying to enjoy her remaining years in life. She has worked hard for her money all of her life and is more than willing to reward anyone willing to help her out. The list of chores that need done include washing windows, sweeping the floors, pretty much anything that a house can need done. You do not have to accomplish every task; but at least one or two and you'll be well paid for your help.
Yet someone else in the village was in need. Before Nalla became a shinobi she had always tried to help people out, especially the elderly, but some of the things that she had learned since then upset her – the elderly sure were treated badly sometimes and for someone like Nalla who wanted to be friends with everyone this was rather upsetting news. Nalla left the administrative building with a frown and headed through the village and towards where the mission stated Lea’s house would be.
She arrived soon enough and knocked on the door. She stood there waiting all of about twenty seconds before she heard footsteps on the other side and the door was opened to reveal an elderly woman. “Hello child. My name is Lea. I suppose you’re who they sent to help me out, hmm?”
Nalla nodded respectfully in response. “Yes, ma’am.”
“Please, call me Lea.”
Nalla smiled and nodded again as Lea led her inside of the house. “As you can see there’s a bit of cleaning that needs to be done. I had to fire my old helper and these old bones don’t allow me to get much done by myself anymore. You don’t have to clean the whole house of course, every little bit of help is appreciated though.”, Lea explained before going and sitting back in her chair in the living room. She picked up her book to continue reading it, but added beforehand “If you have any questions just let me know, child.”
“Alright.”, Nalla responded before heading into the kitchen to get to work. The first thing she did was locate the broom closet and remove a broom and dust pan. A glance around told her where the garbage can was in case she needed to empty it and so she got to work sweeping the floor. She ensured as she worked that she got all of the nooks and crannies, pulling out chairs so that she could get under the table as well, and sticking the broom behind the stove and fridge to capture all of the dust bunnies lurking there. She created a pile in the middle of the floor as she went and when she was finished she swept it up and deposited the dust and dirt into the garbage can before putting the broom and dust pan back into the broom closet.
She then pulled out three clean rags and a spray bottle filled with window cleaner. Each window was squirted with the spray and then wiped, sometimes more than once to ensure that the windows were completely clean and free of any streak marks. From one window to another she went, going throughout the entire house as she worked to ensure that not a single window was left un-touched.
When the window washing was complete she then went and put the rags into the hamper she had used, refolded and replaced the one rag she hadn’t, and put away the cleaner as well. She closed up the broom closet and went over to the sink that had a few dishes sitting in it that were in need of a wash. She scrubbed them clean, ensuring that there wasn’t a single spot left on them before rinsing them off and putting them in the draining rack to dry. She then scrubbed out the sink, clearing it of all food, and repeated the same process for the counters, stove top, and the kitchen table. When she was done she rinsed out the sponge and put it on the back of the sink before putting the now dry dishes away.
With three entire chores completed, sweeping, window washing, and dishes, she figured she had helped a great deal and it would be a good time to take off. She headed into the living room to say goodbye. “I swept your kitchen floor and got behind everything too and under the table. I also washed all of the windows on the inside. Finally, I did the dishes that were in the sink and while they were drying I cleaned up the counters, stove top, and table top, before putting the dishes away since they were dry when I was done.”
“Thank you very much child. I appreciate the help more than you can imagine. Here is your money, have a great day.” Nalla took the ryo and left, shutting the door quietly behind herself.
