Finding People [Mission, Private][515 / 250 Words]

Mission Taken – Lost Family:

Nalla looked down at the mission scroll in her hand. This had to be one of the most serious missions she had ever been given. She had wanted to do some harder tasks, and apparently she had been trusted with one. A man had come walking into the village from the wilds and had been barely alive. After being quickly taken to the hospital the man reported that his family was still out there lost somewhere: she had just been tasked with finding them.

Nalla didn't waste any time as she went rushing out of the administrative building. However, she didn't head straight out and into the desert, and instead stopped in the market and bought up several bottles of water: these people were likely going to be dehydrated, and even if she found them she didn't want them to die on her while she was trying to lead them back to the village. Once she had paid for the water and had it secured away so that she didn't accidentally drop or lose any she headed off in the same path that the man had entered into the village. Thanks to there not being a lot of wind that day it was easy enough to locate the man's tracks and follow them in the generalized direction he had come from.

While she searched she kept note in her head of where the village was in location to north, south, east, or west of her location. When she began to notice the man's trail seemed to zig zag as if he had started wandering aimlessly she paused and took notice of where she was and where the general area all of the footprints had been in. Wishing she had an Inuzuka to help her or someone else with an equal amount of decent tracking she pressed onward, unwilling to throw the towel in on this mission.

She continued off in the direction that the majority of the man's footsteps seemed to be in and a few miles into her journey she spotted what looked like several dark lumps in the background. Thinking that it might just be a mirage she almost ignored it, but as she watched the lumps move around she changed course, and quickly. Minutes later she arrived upon the missing family, and after ensuring that all of them were there minus the man in the hospital she passed out the bottles of water and told them to sip them slowly, or else they would risk making themselves sick and wasting the water.

Once the family had a bit of water she led them back to the village, moving slowly since they couldn't move fast due to dehydration. They arrived within an hour or two and she led them to the hospital to get checked out. When she was sure that the family was in good hands she then left the hospital and headed to the administrative building to turn in on yet another completed mission; and a good report that the whole family was alive and all were looking to pull through.
