Nalla looked down at the mission scroll in her hand: she was to help an elderly woman by the name of Madam Yang who was in desperate need of some things being done that she was incapable of doing herself. Without further waiting Nalla took off and out of the administrative building, not wanting to waste any precious time in getting to the woman’s house.
She bobbed and weaved her way through the people, darted in and out of alley ways, and even hoped and jumped her way over a few carts and low buildings that got in her way as she went. Within about five minutes time she reached Madam Yang’s house and skipped the few feet that led to her door. She raised a hand and rapped sharply on the door a few times since she didn’t know if the woman was hard of hearing or not.
“Come in, the door is open.”, she heard after a moment. She opened the door and stepped inside of the house, closing it behind her. “I’m in the living room.”, she heard added and headed down the hall, finding said room off to her right.
“Hello Madam Yang, my name is Nalla. I was sent here to help you.”, Nalla responded with a polite bow of her head as she came to a stop in the living room.
“Ah, good of you child. Here is a list of things I need accomplished that I cannot do myself.”, replied the elderly woman as she picked up a list that was sitting on a table next to her and handed it over. Nalla took it and looked it over, taking notice of the items listed: pick up her dry cleaning, by three apples four pears and a single banana, deliver Yen’s birthday present and card before four o’clock, and pick up some cold medicine. They all seemed like simply enough tasks.
“May I have Yen’s present and card please? I’ll get that out of the way first so it’s not late.”, Nalla asked. She was handed the present which was wrapped and the card before she turned and left.
She headed to Yen’s house first, knocking an dropping off the present with his parents when they answered. After she was thanked she turned her attention to the rest of the list. Since the rest of what she had to do was in the general location of the market that was where she headed next, bobbing and weaving through people just as she had done before. She grabbed up the three apples, four pears, and the single banana first when arriving at the fruit stall. She then headed five stalls down to the pharmacy and picked up a bottle of cold medicine: choosing the strongest out of the three even though it wasn’t specified. Finally she headed two doors down and picked up the woman’s dry cleaning – a pretty dress.
With all of the items gathered up and the present delivered far before the time it was due she headed to Madam Yang’s house and walked in. She put the fruit away and hung the dry cleaning up. “Is there anything else I can help you with?”
“No, that’s all child. Thank you very much.” Nalla bowed her head respectfully and then turned and left.
