Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Empty
PostSubject: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeFri Dec 09, 2016 6:33 pm

Pop, chew, blow, repeat. The bubblegum in Demi’s mouth was getting quite a workout as she made her way through the sandy streets of Yokuchigakure. This was a village she hadn’t visited in several years but it seemed quite the same as it had the last time she was here. With each step she took her appearance seemed to draw more and more attention. Whether it was the tattoos on her face and body, her odd colored pigtails, the baseball bat resting against the back of her neck with her hands on the top and bottom end, or the clothing she wore the stares happened. Not that she cared.

Her purpose here was simple enough: she wanted a drink. Even with it nearing seven o’clock in the evening and the sun having already begun to set it was still hot as all Hell outside and she was thirsty. The water she carried with her – the bottle which was currently sealed away in a scroll – was completely empty and had been for quite a few hours. ”Drink, drink, where to find a drink?”, she commented as she paused in the middle of the street, looking around at all of the signs outside of the various establishments and purposely ignoring some of the dirty looks she was given by those passing by since she was in the way. Food probably wouldn’t have been a bad idea at that point either: traveling here from Kurayamigakure had been quite a trip, one which had taken quite a while. She couldn’t remember the last time she had eaten a proper meal, or at all for that matter. While she was determined to find her father and sister and meet up with them she knew that stopping to grab a bite to eat and perhaps some sleep wouldn’t be a half bad idea: especially since she wasn’t traveling alone.

After a few seconds of indecision Demitria finally settled on a place: it was a bar of all places but the smells coming from it were mouth watering – whoever was in the kitchen could cook. ”That looks like a good a spot as any.” Demi made her way across the street pausing long enough at the doorway of the building to remove her baseball bat from behind her neck so that it rested on her left shoulder: this way she could easily enter in through the door without catching her new favorite toy Good Night on something. The place wasn’t busy despite the evening hour but Demi rather preferred it quiet that way: she had enough noise and voices going on in her head as it was, she didn’t feel the need to add to them – not that she minded simple conversation, but bars could become very rowdy places.

As Demi made her way up to the bar she began to draw the stares of those within the established just as she had done on the street. She glanced back to a few who lowered their gaze while others just kept on staring. A few whispered to each other but she didn’t bother trying to catch what they were saying: it was better she ignore it or else she was going to get herself into trouble before she had a chance to quench her thirst. At the bar she slid gracefully onto one of the stools, shifting her bat so that it was resting between her knees with her legs wrapped around it: she wasn’t going to put it down in a place she didn’t trust. ”I’ll take a couple of cups and a giant pitcher of ice water to start… a few menu’s would be nice too, please.”, politely spoken – she wouldn’t be a mean and nasty bitch until someone gave her a reason to. The bartender stared for several seconds more than what would have been considered polite before wandering off to go grab what Demi had asked for – it probably would have bothered a normal person all of the staring but Demi was too far from normal to give it a second thought.

PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeFri Dec 09, 2016 7:14 pm

Setting foot on a whole other continent. Konran had been outside of Kurayamigakure several times, but never on a whole other land mass. Alec had gone missing. His daughter Demi decided to go looking for him, and Konran couldn't just let her go alone. Truth be told, there were other reasons for him going on this trip too. He wanted to see another land mass. He wanted to be back-up for Demi just in case she got into trouble. And... even though she was a total psycho, Konran had a soft spot for her, though he'd probably never voice this under normal circumstances.

The village that they were in was called Yokuchigakure. It was in a desert, similar to Sabakugakure. Alec told him stories of this place. He'd heard about the barfight in which a Kage was removed of a leg. He'd also heard that Holeman was born here. Was his old clinic still around?

Konran had silently been following Demi around. 15 year old Konran looked nothing like a "Ninja" or "Shinobi." He wore a hooded jacket with a black wife beater beneath, khaki pants and boots. Fingerless gloves were on either hand. His right hand was in his jacket pocket, while his left clutched his prized weapon: The Shift Blade, a mysterious katana blade that constantly let off a strange smoke substance that dissolved after so long.

Konran was calm and silent most of the time because hanging around Alec for so long made him pick up the habit of smoking herbs. A "cigar" was at his lips that he puffed and flicked ashes from every so often. The 2 of them attracted eyes every so often being newcomers to this village, but Konran had grown used to it, and Demi didn't seem like she cared. At the moment she seemed to be looking for somewhere to have a drink, and decided on a bar nearby.

Walking in, Konran began to have a bad feeling with how hot and young Demi looked, and sensed that there would soon be some shit. Some drunkard was probably going to try and put the moves on her, only to be harshly refused. The drunkard would take it the wrong way and get stupid, resulting in a baseball bat upside the head, or his hands removed at the wrists. Shit like that always happened in places like these. It was for this reason that Konran didn't sit down anywhere, but instead leaned on a wall where a couple of other people were leaning close by. His hood was covering most of his face, but he didn't exactly have to see to know where Demi was.

Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeFri Dec 09, 2016 8:20 pm

Out of the corner of her eye she watched as Konran went and leaned against a wall; he wasn’t the only one either so it didn’t look all that out of place of a thing to do. Demi took a moment to get a proper look around the place as she waited for the bartender to return with what she had asked for: there were quite a few tables within the place, the front entrance and likely a back one through the single door that led to the kitchen which the kitchen staff probably would have used to take the garbage and so forth out of, two large stained glass windows that didn’t seem to be able to be opened: one on each side of the door, and a high ceiling from which several beams ran from one wall to another. A small and fairly quiet party seemed to be going on in one of the dark corners of the bar, while most other people seemed to either be drinking in pairs of three, two, or alone.

The bartender returned and Demi refocused her attention on him as he sat down a large pitcher filled with ice water followed by two clean glasses and several menus. ”There you go, miss.” Demi nodded her thanks as she poured herself a glass of water from the heavy pitcher. The glass was downed and emptied almost as soon as the thing was picked up before she made a point to refill it again: she might have been a psycho and a sociopath but she was also a medic and she knew dehydration was a bitch. ”Are you expecting company, miss?”, the bartender inquired curiously, glancing around as if expecting to see someone else coming to join her.

”I always have company with me… though I’m sure you mean people outside of the voices in my head.”, Demi muttered mostly beneath her breath as she left the glass filled with water alone and picked up the nearest menu to give it a quick glance over.

”I beg your pardon, miss?”

”How about a nice and tall rum and coke?”

The bartender frowned at her sure that that hadn’t been what Demi had said but didn’t inquire further. Instead, he decided to ask a question that had caused quite a great deal of trouble for the last person who had asked her during their trip: ”Can I see some ID, miss?” It wasn’t that Demi didn’t have ID: between her age and rank she was more than able to drink as both caused her to be considered an adult in the shinobi world: it was the fact that her last name was Kane and the last time a Kane had ventured into this village he had got into a fight with the leader and removed one of his limbs. She was sure if anyone found out who she was or who she was related to she’d be asked to leave immediately: and probably in a very forceful and violent way.

Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem… but she was starting to get hungry and wanted a bite to eat before moving on. So, instead of showing the bartender her ID she wiggled her pointer finger at him to indicate he should move closer to her – which he did, leaning in intently – as she herself leaned in forward so that she could whisper in his ear, ”You’ve seen my ID, I’m able to drink. You’ll provide me and my friend whatever we ask for without questioning who either of us are again.” As if Demi had said nothing at all, and had simply showed the man her ID he stood up straight and gave a nod to her. ”Very good miss. I’ll get your rum and coke.” Demi simply grinned naughtily as the bartender began making her drink: Miwaku certainly was a very handy trick to know. Knowing she’d have her drink in a moment, and wanting some food in her stomach to follow soon, she glanced back at the menu.

"Kinda young to be in a place like this, eh?"

Konran felt them approach, so he didn't have to look up. He didn't plan on starting anything in here, but if someone started with him he would finish it. Honestly he just wanted Demi to get what she was going to get so that they could leave, continue looking for Alec. It was unlikely that he would come back here, to a scene of one of his crimes. Liquid courage in a shady bar like this one often brought out the worst in people, usually scum who worked some shit job most of their life and looked to take out their frustrations on someone smaller and weaker looking.

There were 2 big guys. They were muscular and had a rough appearance. Konran figured that they had hard labor jobs around here, maybe in a mine or something. One of them had a big bottle of something brown colored and reeked of alcohol, taking big gulps of it every so often. Already inebriated, it only got worse with every drink, and a lot of it splashed down the sides of his mouth to drip down his neck and stain his shirt. The other had no bottle, but he smelled like alcohol just the same.

Konran said nothing. He didn't even look up as he took a long drag from his "cigar," flicking off the ashes next to him. "Kinda young to be carrying around a weapon like that too, yeah?" said the man with the bottle.

"I bet he doesn't even know how to use it. He just carries it around all for show."

The bartender said "Hey Lee, Akuji, how about you lay off,"

The man with the bottle, Akuji responded with "Shut the fuck up!"

Lee said, "Tell you what kid, how about you hand over the sword and you get to walk out of here with all of your teeth."

"Yeah, that should fetch us a pretty penny," added Akuji. Konran still didn't respond, blowing out smoke through his nostrils.

Both men visibly began to become angry. "Hey kid, are you fucking deaf? I said---" Lee began to reach towards Konran, but like lightning his right arm was in motion. What happened was too fast for drunken eyes to see. There were several glints of metal around both men. Konran quickly sheathed the Shift Blade again while moving away from the wall.

"...So, what, was that supposed to scare us---" Akuji started to say, before their shirts, vests and some of their hair fell off. The bottle in Akuji's hand dropped to the floor. Their belts fell to pieces, causing their pants to drop. Some of the patrons in the bar started laughing. Both men looked pissed. Konran knew that his "warning" wasn't going to be the end of this...

Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeSat Dec 10, 2016 3:15 pm

Demi was quite surprised: she was positive it was her who was going to have to deal with trouble of some sort not Konran who was keeping out of the way and a generally low profile. However, sure enough two scumbags made their way over to him: both of whom looked much larger than Konran himself. Demitria knew this wouldn’t matter: Konran was more than capable of taking care of himself and he knew how to use the sword he had which they clearly wanted. Chances were those two were going to end up cut to pieces if they fucked with Konran too much. Even the bartender had attempted to get the two, Lee and Akuji, to lay off and leave Konran alone. But of course they didn’t listen.

Demi simply shook her head, being handed her drink while keeping an eye on things at the same time. She brought her rum and coke up to her lips to sip just as Konran made his move. While Demi herself could see what was going on due to her vast amount of perception she knew the drunks would have been clueless as to what was going on – that was, until their stuff began to fall off of their bodies. Even their pants fell down thanks to Konran having sliced their belts into ribbons, something that drew laughter from some who had been watching. Demi herself even grinned with a snicker.

”Some people will never learn: size doesn’t mean everything in a fight..”, Demi commented thoughtfully, not really bothering to keep her voice down or caring if Lee and Akuji heard her. She wasn’t exactly looking for a fight or trouble at the moment but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t welcome a challenge with open arms.

”Why don’t you shut your mouth, little girl.” came a threatening voice from behind her. Demi, in the middle of taking another sip of her alcoholic beverage, looked behind her to see yet another large individual begin to saunter over. Demi gave him a good look over, sizing him up, while the nameless male did the same to her – though his eyes lingered in areas that made Demi realize he was eyeing her for more perverted reasons then seeing if she’d be a worthy opponent.

”Why don’t you try and shut it for me, big man? Or are you scared?”, Demi commented, her smart mouth coming as naturally to her as breathing in a situation such as this.

”What did you just say to me you little bitch? Don’t make me slap the shit out of you.”

”I mean… you’re welcome to try. I don’t think you’ll like it though when I beat your ass in front of your friends and have them laughing at you….” Her words were calmly and clearly spoken: this was all one big game to Demi. She loved nothing more than getting underneath of someone’s skin and she could tell from how red in the face the nameless male was getting that she was succeeding in her task.

”Why you little--!” The man rushed at her, and with the sort of grace most dancers would be envious of Demi simply picked up her drink in her left hand, her bat in her right, and was off her stool and out of the way before the man went slamming into the bar’s counter with his gut. A the man let out a tremendous ”OOOMPH!” of a sound Demi just took yet another sip of her rum and coke with an exceptionally calm and almost amused looking expression on her face; her bat resting on her right shoulder.

”Mmm… You’re no match for the likes of me, big guy. You’d be better off going back to your table and returning to your drinking. This won’t end well for you otherwise...”, Demi spoke rationally, though she knew deep down he wouldn’t heed her words.

Konran heard some commotion over at the bar over the laughs that seemed to be erupting all over the bar because of the 2 drunk morons now standing in their tighty whities. Konran was calmly headed towards the door because he didn't want to make a mess inside the bar, smoke trail following behind him as he walked. He pushed open the doors and headed out front. Akuji and Lee eventually came out next, kicking the door open instead of pushing like Konran did.

"You think this shit is funny you little asshole!? Embarrassing me like that?!" growled Akuji. he was the first to take a swing at Konran, who was taking his hood off. Konran immediately ducked. Another lunging punch followed, which Konran side stepped. Lee joined in with him, and Konran began to duck and dodge 2 men. He began to block and counter using his sword's sheath, causing painful responses from them both. Through it all, Konran kept his calm look on his face. these idiots were drunk and predictable. Others had come outside to watch Konran easily handle the two idiots.

Konran wasn't going to use any real skills on either of them. He didn't even have to draw his sword again. A front kick landed at the gut of Akuji. He bowled over, coughing and spitting. Enraged, he lunged at Konran, to which Konran responded by side stepping and performing a round house kick. The heel of his foot met the back of Akuji's head as he lunged, making him speed up and go rolling.

Lee took this opportunity to trip Konran. While airborne, Konran sent a kick into Lee's face, making him stumble backwards. Konran landed on his back and quickly sprang back to his feet. "You little mother fuck--!!" Lee said, charging forward again. Konran sent a kick to Lee's right knee, making him buckle. A knee met his face next, breaking his nose. He fell backwards, and Konran stomped his head into the sand.

Konran was grabbed from behind by Akuji. Konran sent his head back, smashing into his face and knocking out several teeth. Akuji released his hold, stumbling backwards. Konran did a black flip, kicking Akuji 3 times before landing on his feet again. Akuji fell down grunting, and was next to have his head stomped into the sand. He tried to stand, only to have his head stomped a second time. Konran took a drag from his "cigar" and flicked ashes on the downed Akuji.

Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeSun Dec 11, 2016 11:25 am

Even though the majority of her focus was on the big nameless male who had just been seriously angered by her previous statement she still was paying attention enough to know that Konran was headed outside: as well as keeping a decent eye on what everyone else in the bar was up to. He pushed open the door gently while the two who followed him out chose to kick it open instead. Chances were a fight was about to happen outside, but she couldn’t focus on that since the same could be said for her and the man with the serious anger issues. ”You fucking little bitch. I was just playing with you before but since you want to play like that… we’ll lets go.” Apparently the large man had recovered from running into the counter because once more he charged straight at Demitria. She had no idea why he thought that attempting the same move as last time was going to garner him any different results but she assumed he would learn soon enough.

So, just as Demitria had done before she waited until the last minute before gracefully side stepping out of the way; sipping her rum and coke in the process. The man of course ran right on past her, his large size making it hard for him to stop. The large man went straight into a table, knocking it, the food and drink on the top, as well as the two occupants who had been sitting there onto the floor in a mess of liquid, food, and broken wood.

Demi simply took another sip of her beverage with a very calm look on her face before stating plainly, ”See? I told you you were no match for me.”

”You fucking bitch.” the man growled as he got to his feet. The table was no more, and there would be no chances of repairing it. The glasses the drinks had been in were likewise shattered on the floor as were the dishes the food had been on. The mess was vast, and someone was going to have a hell of a time cleaning it up. Of course none of that mattered as the big man got to his feet and turned to face the far too calm looking Demi. ”You stupid fucking bitch. Look what you made me do!”

Demi laughed, outright laughed at the guy. ”I made you do that? I seem to remember telling you you didn’t stand a chance. You’re the moron who keeps trying.” Others were laughing at the guy, too, while the two who had been seated at the now wrecked table were grumbling and cussing at him.

”You know what… I’m going to whoop your ass girlie. Then when I’m done with you I’mma kill every single person you hold dear and make you watch: your father, your mother, any little brothers or sisters you have….”, the man continued on but Demi didn’t hear him. It was as if a sudden buzz had started in her head; like an angry nest of bees that had suddenly been shaken. This man had just crossed a very thin and dangerous line. Demitria was normally very good at keeping a hold of her temper – in fact most of the times even when taunting someone she was calm about it. But this man… he had crossed a line of no return: and he and everyone around would suffer for it.

The glass of rum and coke in her left hand slipped from her grip and shattered to the floor – something which Demi gave no notice to. Her bat was shifted so that both of her hands were on the handle, shifting so that she could swing it with ease. As the man walked to her, still speaking words she could no longer hear she raised the bat and hit him too fast for him to stop right at the top of his head. The man crumpled to the floor but Demi wasn’t satisfied. Over and over again she began to beat his head in with the baseball bat – so hard and so intently that brain matter and blood began to fly everywhere. Some people screamed and ran outside while others came over, attempting to likely grab her and get her to stop. Demi simply turned her focus on them and began to hit them too until bodies began to drop all around: all bloodied, all broken, all without a hope to survive without medical attention.

PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeSun Dec 11, 2016 12:15 pm

The spectators were laughing. Konran was using Akuji's head as a foot stool, when the screams reached his ears. He looked up to see people rushing out of the bar, with terrified looks on their faces. Konran had to dodge around some of the people because they were in such a panic. This could only mean one thing...

Konran walked back in to see the big man from before, on the floor; his head busted open and pink chunks of his brain scattered. there was a big mess from a table that had food and rinks on it being knocked over. Demi was in a rage; the famous Kane temper. Someone must have said or did something really stupid and gotten under her skin, and now she was in the process of killing whoever got in her way. Many people were running, but there were several others who started at her with a frown, but it seemed that they were skeptical. Attacking her would probably render the same result: them on the floor with their heads looking like strawberry shortcake.

One of them got the courage to try something. He busted a bottle and lunged towards Demi's back with the sharp jagged edge. He wasn't able to get too close because of something rushing past him very quickly; a glint of metal being able to be seen in the dim light. The man stopped and looked down to see a red line appear on his wrist, then his hand fall off of his arm. Konran was nearby, pushing the Shift Blade back into it's smoking sheath. "You... what have you----what have you---" he began to say, going into shock.

Konran was sure the deaths were going to draw the attention of village shinobi, yet the calm look never left his face. He leaned backwards on the bar with his elbows, momentarily removing his "cigar" to eat a handful of peanuts from a bowl nearby.

Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeSun Dec 11, 2016 4:33 pm

Someone was attempting to pull a fast one behind her back; even with the buzzing sound like thousands of angry bees in her ears she could still hear the distinct noise of glass shattering. Only, as Demi shifted, ready to beat the brains in of whoever was trying to attack her from behind, Konran made quick work of slicing the guys hand off. He went instantly into shock while Konran took to leaning against the bar and eating a handful of peanuts from a nearby bowl. Even in this enraged state she could tell who was friend and who was foe so her attention simply shifted back to the man missing a hand before she raised the baseball bat once more – now exceptionally bloody – and smashed it over the head of the one who had tried to sneak her: lights out.

Demi glanced around to everyone else; they were staring but they hadn’t tried anything yet. Were they afraid? Did they realize they couldn’t take her – especially when Konran would slice them up if Demi didn’t bash their brains in first? Either reason she didn’t care. Instead she blew out a puff of air, using it to push her bangs up and out of her face; they were wet with blood but she hardly cared at the moment. She cleared her throat, and then grinned a bit. ”So, anyone else want to threaten harm to my family and die?”, she asked clearly, daring anyone with her tone of voice to try it. No one did of course and so Demi glanced back to the bartender who instantly raised his hands in a ‘I don’t want any trouble’ kind of way. Demi simply smiled politely. ”I want some food…”

”Wha… what kind?” the bartender asked, his voice breaking from fear. Demi glanced toward the door, waiting to see the village guard come running in at any moment: surely the crowd of screaming and fleeing patrons would have caught someone’s attention. ”Anything you already have ready will do; put it in a bag.” The bartender did as she asked, disappearing into the kitchen. Absently, as she waited for the bartender to return – she could hear noise in the kitchen – she looked back to the man who had caused all of this and raised her bat once more to give him a good few more whacks over his already mangled skull. She then glanced around to everyone who was looking at her with a puzzled look on her face, ”What? I saw him move...” Several people edged toward the door but Demi hardly cared since at that point the bartender had returned with a bag filled with all sorts of food – basically anything they had had hot and ready in the kitchen that had been waiting to go out when all hell had broken lose.

Demi pulled a chunk of ryo out of her pocket, more than enough to pay for the food and the mild damages to the property, and handed it over to the bartender who looked quite shocked she was willing to pay for the food instead of just stealing it. With her bat resting on her right shoulder and the bag of food in her left hand she made her way out of the establishment with a giggle as she stepped over the bodies. ”Come on.. we should go before the cavalry shows up...”

Apparently someone made threats towards the other Kanes. That was a big no-no. Insults and whatnot usually just slid off of the shoulders of all of the Kanes, but when you threatened bodily harm towards other Kanes, well... it could quickly turn into a shit show. He'd heard that Demi's brother Junior Kane blew a guy to pieces for trying to hit on her. Even the normally cool Alec flew into a furious rage when his oldest daughter Destiny was kidnapped by pirates. Konran himself was there personally to watch him cut though these pirates like they were nothing, slaughtering nearly the entire crew by himself.

The rest of the people in the bar looked scared out of their minds, the ones that hadn't run out. Demi asked for something to eat, and took several more wacks at the dead guy on the floor. The guy did move, but with his brains in chunks across the floor, it was likely a involuntary twitch or spasm. The sight of someone's head bashed into red paste didn't bother Konran in the slightest, though the smell that was spreading throughout the place was something he'd never get used to.

The bartender came back with food, looking like he'd mess his pants. Demi paid for the food, making him look shocked and terrified at the same time. When Demi said that they should leave since shinobi would likely come investigating soon, Konran stuffed another handful of peanuts in his mouth before giving a last glance to the bartender, pushing himself up from his lean and pulling on his hood again. Swallowing the peanuts, he returned his "cigar" to his lips and took a drag, walking towards the front doors and taking care not to step in any of the red mess.

Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite]   Just Wanted a Drink [Konran, or Invite] Icon_minitimeMon Dec 12, 2016 12:06 pm

As Demi opened the front door to the bar using her foot she half expected to see half or more of the village guard waiting outside to try and take herself and Konran into custody. Surely the screams from those who had fled the bar in terror would have alerted someone by now. Yet, that didn’t seem to be the case. The thought caused Demi to pause: why wasn’t anyone coming after them? Did the murders which were just committed go un-noticed? The idea of causing more death and destruction just to see if that would stir up some kind of reaction crossed her mind but in the end she dismissed it: her and Konran were supposed to be looking for her father and younger sister, not causing widespread destruction and panic. Not yet, at least.

Instead of commenting on it right away – for all she knew they could be on their way – she made her way down the street as casually as they had arrived: moving in a calm way as if she hadn’t just beaten several people to death with her bat. Considering their current location it would take several more minutes for them to reach any of the villages gates to pass through on their way back out. Demi returned to chewing the piece of gum in her mouth, blowing bubbles as she did so: the bag of food she had just paid for in her left hand and her baseball bat in her right while resting on her shoulder.

After several minutes of silence though she finally decided to speak up, ”It’s strange… I half expected half the villages shinobi to have come raining down on us by now. Surely someone heard the screams...” Even to Demi’s crazy mind this seemed off: no one coming after what had happened. A frown formed on her face and remained there as the thought was toyed and played with in her mind – even the voices began to speak up and comment about it; most remarks of the snide or rude quality.

Sure enough, even as the village gates came into view, still no one made an appearance. It truly seemed like what they had just done didn’t matter. She knew some of the people they had killed were drunks, but others had just been ‘trying to do the right thing’ by defending ‘innocent’ people. Strange, definitely strange. ”Definitely weird.”

Konran swore he was about to step out into a shinobi war. He was sure there were massive ninja waiting to take them out as soon as they set foot out of the bar. Even so, there was still a calm expression on his face. Demi and he would probably have to slaughter half this village's ninja on the way out of here, and his new jacket would get ruined with all of the blood stains.

...Except, there was no one out there. Konran only blinked his eyes a few times. Even Demi voiced her concern over the matter, saying surely someone heard all of the screaming, and she was positive that all kinds of hell was about to fall on them. This wasn't the case. Did the kage here care about his people? Would he just let several of his people having their heads bashed in with a bat go unnoticed? Konran looked back and fourth several times and saw no one coming. Sure, there were villagers and pedestrians gathered in the distance looking in the direction of the bar because of the commotion, but no authority figured were on the way to investigate.

Konran wondered what would happen were he to start burning buildings down, and wholesale slaughtering whoever looked at him funny. Would the Kage continue to sit where ever he was and allow it to happen? Of course he wouldn't actually do it, since he was taught better and knew better. He was in too calm of a mood furthermore. Konran simply shrugged his shoulders and turned to leave, heading for the village's exit.

No one. Not a single person came to stop them. Even as Demi stepped through the gates and headed toward the plain ol’ desert no one interceded and attempted to make them pay for their crimes. It didn’t sit right with Demi: it was just wrong. Yet, it wasn’t like she was going to go back and try and correct it. This wasn’t her village, these people weren’t her problem. She had no allies living in this village, no one to give a second thought to staying here. She had her own task she needed to accomplish – finding her father and younger sister – and that’s exactly what she’d keep her focus on to accomplish.

So, just like Konran she did nothing further as she simply left – leaving behind a total of seven bodies whose features would be so badly beaten off of them that there would be no recognizing them facially – there would be no open casket funerals for the likes of them either unless someone wished to disturb the families of whoever those nameless men are. Demi didn’t care either way: she wouldn’t lose any sleep over taking their lives, not after someone had threatened to do the same to one of her own family members.

So, without incident she left the village behind, moving on to elsewhere along with Konran….

-Exit, since no one interceded-
