General Description: June is fairly recognizable by people who know her due to her unusual clan-based features (white hair and yellow eyes). She’s fairly lean with smooth skin, long straight hair, and very expressive eyes.

Normally, June wears an outfit that consists of a white dress with a red, sleeveless, low-cut top on. She almost always wears a small white open coat over this and can usually be found with a sword and sheath strapped to a belt around her waist. June has always been a natural clean freak and always makes sure there’s not a single stain on her outfit before she goes out on a mission, even though, as a ninja, blood stains are incredibly common.



Personality: Overall, June’s a pretty kind-hearted person, pretty nice, usually easy to deal with, and cheerful once you get to know her… even if she is shy around meeting most people directly at first. But that doesn’t mean she’s always like that. When she wants to be, June can be incredibly cunning, resourceful, and manipulative, often planning stuff out or using her appearance to try and get her way, which works more often than you would expect it to. June also has shown in the past that she can be fairly violent and short tempered at times which partially stems from her practice of holding in her emotions as well as coming from a desire to try and prove herself to the world.

It’s not uncommon for June to try and keep stuff to herself, in fact, she usually prefers to worry and internalize her problems instead of worrying other people. She’s the type of person who will usually end up overthinking things, second guessing herself, and making a much bigger deal out of some situations than they actually are. However, when it comes down to it and she has to act for a mission, there is no doubt, no hesitation, and no real sign of fear. When she needs to be serious, she can get focused and be surprisingly effective.
Likes: June’s interests include learning about swordplay, practicing how to control her Dojutsu, and occasionally trying to learn how to forge weapons…. She’s not very good at it yet, but she’s learned to make a bent stick shape that sort-of has an edge on it. Outside of that, the ninja usually enjoys spending her free time at the hot springs to relax. Partially because being around such a large reflective surface makes her feel secure with her Dojutsu abilities. She used to hate the heat and how exposed it made her feel but, over time, she just simply grew to enjoy the feel of a good hot spring.
Dislikes: There are a few fairly notable things that will get June angry at someone. Most of which are based around her fears in some way. First, there’s her dislike of dirt, filth, germs, and contamination in general, which is the biggest thing. Then below that she’s got a dislike of normal stuff, people who lie, are full of themselves, and are generally dishonorable. Then there’s specifically her dislike of bugs, worms, and other similar things. People who doubt her skills for one reason or another are on the list below bugs. And then, finally, she dislikes isolation and the thought of dying alone which isn’t as high up on her list as other things because it doesn’t come up as often.
Motivations: While it’s not something she really likes to talk about that much or admit to, June grew up alone and afraid following an attack on her clan. Secretly, because of this, she’s always felt isolated from other people, a feeling she has been trying to avoid for a very long time. So June has always secretly been motivated by this desire to feel accepted and overcome her multiple phobias, to better herself for others. However about two years ago, this has become a more specific, focused, desire. Now she not only wants to try and prove herself and feel accepted, but June also has started trying to find a sense of family by either finding remaining members of her clan or finding something that can act as a replacement for them. While a long and potentially pointless goal, it’s one that will always remain close to her heart.
Fears: After a certain incident in her past, June became a traumatic mess who suffered quite a bit from several fears formed out of the stressful situation. In total, she had 6 major phobias, 2 learned afterwards for 8 total, as well as several trust issues and problems socializing that she had to eventually either overcome or make progress on to get where she is today.

Most notably, June had a fear of blood that she needed to get past in order to move ahead as a ninja. It was a difficult task, but she slowly got over it. Although she still gets a bit uneasy around especially violent scenes…. Second was a fear of germs, which grew from a feeling of weakness after what had happened that she naturally transferred to the feeling of being sick. This fear is still being worked on. After that, the third fear, going hand-in-hand with the previous one, was a fear of mud and dirt, which she associated with germs early on. This one has varied in intensity for her, becoming the least potent in the presence of events later on before coming back. June has yet to fully get rid of it. Fourth is her fear of insects and bugs which was a mild dislike before the event that happened. It has yet to be fully conquered. Her fifth fear gained by that incident was a fear of small spaces, claustrophobia, gained from how she managed to escape. Hiding in a closet while she heard the invading clan violently slaughter her family. The noise of their screams became associated with the small space and this fear has yet to be conquered. And, finally, the sixth fear gained from that incident, a fear of isolation…. Gained when she finally left the safety of her closet only to come to the slow realization that she was now completely alone…. It has yet to be conquered.

The final 2 of her fears were never as potent as the others and have both been conquered, but they’re still noteworthy. These come from a particular incident two years ago where June nearly drowned in a hot spring while practicing her Dojutsu, leading to both a fear of exposure and a mild fear of water. During this timeframe, her fear of dirt and mud was much less pronounced since her mind found the new fears to be much more serious threats. But since then, she has been able to slowly get over this and even enjoy returning to the spot where she had almost died.

History: June was born a member of the Speculi clan, a small group with the unique ability to sense and see the world through reflective objects. They assumed they were safe in their small town nearby Konoha, but, ultimately, they were wrong. At the age of 6, the day came when the Speculi clan had to face an enemy that seemed to know to not attack with metal objects, but instead used fire style jutsu and the swords of the clan members they killed. June was woken up by her mother, visibly shaken with fear as the enemy clan began blowing up buildings and burning people in the streets. The two of them tried to escape only for her mother to be taken out by a sword attack. Her body fell over on June, bleeding all over her as the child pushed for several minutes hoping to wake her up before finally giving up and running away. Almost on instinct, June hid herself in a dark closet where she waited for it all to be over, coated in blood, sweat, and tears as she heard her family being slaughtered outside. And then, eventually, she opened the door to find that she was alone…….

So she ran. June ran over the course of the entire night to Konoha or, at least, as far as she physically could in search of help all while in an almost trance-like state over the tragedy that had just happened right in front of her. Thankfully, the people of Konoha were understanding of her situation and willing to help the young girl. After about a month of silence just internally dealing with her emotions, June made her decision to become a genin on what was, at first, a quest for revenge… or, at least, that was what she told herself. In truth, she never had it in her to wish pain onto other people. Just the thought of what it would mean to take their lives racked her with guilt gave her nightmares where she was seen as a witch and hunted down for pursuing power.

Eventually, she learned her lesson and, finally, June began to get her head together. She put in quite a bit of time just wandering around the medical complex just to force herself to get close to wounded people in an attempt to get over her fear of blood. Sure, she passed out a lot, but, eventually, it was all worth it for her to be able to finally cross one of her issues off her list (and yes, there is a list…. Don’t ask to see it, though.) By the time she entered the Chuunin Exams; she wasn’t exactly a stranger to combat and managed to get through without any huge problems, even though she was almost constantly stressed weeks before the actual event.

Once she became a chuunin, missions were almost second nature. She preferred to try and stick with lower ranked missions for a long time until she met someone who would give her the drive she really needed to become a much more note-worthy ninja. It happened around two years ago when June was first trying out the leaf village hot springs for the first time. She had wanted to try them out for a good amount of time, but was always worried about being around too many people at once. Then one hot day she finally got the nerve to give it a try but, completely by accident, she walked into the guy’s spring by mistake and started trying to practice her clan’s Dojutsu, Mira Kokei, in silence behind one of the rocks near the water.

Meanwhile, at the same time, a young man named Zephyr was walking into the same spring. From his point of view, he was just walking around when he discovered a random girl with her eyes closed, sitting behind a rock, who didn’t seem to be moving. Immediately, his first instinct was to try and wake her up but what Zeph didn’t realize was that, at this point, June had yet to get used to her Dojutsu and would easily lose her balance if her body was moved. So when Zephyr pushed the mirror ninja, she immediately freaked out and lost her sense of balance, grabbing Zeph as she fell into the water in a panic! The next thing she knew she had blacked out and simply woke up soaking wet lying next to him. After falling into the water, as Zeph explained to her, she had hit her head on one of the rocks near the edge, knocking her out and making a wound on the back of her head. It took him a moment but he soon figured out she wasn’t coming to the surface and saved her. While this gave her two new fears to deal with, June fell for Zeph almost immediately and, after a few weeks; she managed to finally get the courage together to find him again. However by that time, Zeph had already moved on to someone else. But it wasn’t a pointless event, either…. During the time period where June was too scared to do anything, she had given a lot of thought to some things, including finally getting back to thinking about her family and what had happened to the survivors.

With newfound strength, the mirror ninja conquered her new fears, grew to enjoy the place where she almost died, and decided to search for the survivors of the Speculi clan, plowing her way through missions to get to Jounin rank so she could gather up enough supplies to launch a one-person search for them! Anndddd then some jerk-nugget stole her stuff while she was distracted in the hot spring………….. This brings everything up to where they are right now. Will June ever defeat the rest of her fears and find her family? Who knows….

RP Sample: It had happened a few weeks ago, but it was the only thing she could think about. June sat in the corner of the academy, not even wanting to go near the other kids. Maybe it was all a dream? Maybe this was just a cruel trick and they would see each other soon. But, in reality, she knew the truth about what had happened. She was so traumatized that she couldn’t even remember what the people responsible looked like, just their bodies covered in soot and blood eclipsed against the red smoky sky as they killed her family. Everyone she knew was gone and they were never coming back….
