On a cold day in the fall, lightning shook the ground, death being at hand. In the midst of madness, a small child was born to a mother that didn't want him. At birth, he was shoved into a orphanage for children like himself. Bastards. The only part that was positive is that they were locked in their dorms for most of the time, not having to see or hear the screaming person who ran the place. In short, life sucked. It was constant oppression where this boy was, and he had to think of his own name. The people there called him "that boy", or "him". He finally decided to name himself Daruma.
- Early Life [339]:
Daruma didn't have the chance to grow up, before reality started smashing into him. He was told by jabs and sneers that a brother, that he had not known about, was already becoming a fine ninja, as he was gifted with the town pride, something he knew as "Genshi". Since Daruma was not part of that family, he did not get to reap the benefits of having friends, or even having something special about him. He would stare out the window, watching his brother leave for missions, and go off into the world. He knew that he should love his brother, but it was apparent that the young man, who he knew as "Delcan". Daruma hated life here. He hated the people, and the constant bullying he received from others. One fateful day, he found a kunai left on the floor, from ninja adopting the golden boys of the orphanage. As if it were destiny, another boy came pushing him around. This one was worse than the others. All he did was poke fun at the fact he wasn't as good as his brother, and that he had strange markings on his hand. After getting shoved down the third time, Daruma loses his temper. He takes the kunai, stabbing the boy directly where he thought his heart might be, and twisting. The boy started coughing up blood, and Daruma just stood there, looking down at him. Not fully realizing it until right now, he had just killed another being.
Looking down at his bloodstained hands Daruma runs. He heads straight out the door, and straight through the desert. He runs to another village, one hidden in leaves. He was only 4 at this point, and nearly starved in the desert. He learnt how to drink from cactus to survive, and eat fruits in the desert. At the border of the forest and the desert, there was plenty to drink and eat. This was the spot he would begin his training, to finally catch up with and meet his brother.
- Genin [240]:
Daruma trained hard. He was doing techniques that he'd never even heard of over and over again, until he would finally come close to understanding it. He would meditate, and think about new things he could do. He had no idea what the mark on his palm meant, nor did he understand what true power it held. All he knew was that he couldn't do anything that involved fire, wind, lightning, water, or earth. In fact, he couldn't do any jutsu. The only thing he tried to learn was techniques with sticks. He would try slashing two around, getting faster and faster with the way he hit them. He eventually was able to put scratches in the cacti. Although he liked using these swords, it was difficult to practice using only simple sticks. If he wanted to continue to learn this, he would need actual blades. After that, he tried to learn what the symbol on his palm was. He tried to do simple things at first, like focusing chakra into it. When this doesn't work, he tries focusing chakra from his hand into a stick. He tapped himself on the wrist with it to see what would happen, and it made him feel weak.
Daruma deactivated this jutsu, and rubbed the wrist he had hit. The attack he did, even with a stick, hurt like hell. He decided not to do that until he masters more of these techniques.
- Chuunin [200]:
Daruma finally trained hard enough to start doing advanced techniques. He travels to another village, to see what he could learn. It was at this time, he heard commotion inside of the village. At this time he is 5 years old, still young. He sees a tall red haired boy, who was his brother, and another brown haired boy that was apparently called "Clyde". Before Daruma could go in to say hello, he sees two people in the building slaughtered, seeming to be his brother's parents. Staring at the bloody pulp of what was once his dad, Daruma runs from this village, and doesn't plan on coming back. He needed to train hard. There was no way he could let people like this live around the village. Training even harder, Daruma perfects the technique that made him weak. In a village that wasn't known, he stole a small sword, known as a tanto. With this sword, he would train on the trees and cacti. He was finally able to cut into a cactus, almost cutting through it. Happy at these new results, Daruma trains even more, to become the strongest ninja, and to find out the truth about his family.
- Special Jounin [183]:
Daruma was tough enough to start training his other techniques. He took one more Tanto, and tried this new attack. Using both swords, he would slash very fast, cutting cacti and trees into pieces. He bathed in lakes that he would find, and had already traveled to the Leaf village and Sand village several times. Finally learning these techniques, he moves on to training even harder. He walked around the wilderness, waiting to come across something interesting. He eventually comes across a missing ninja, who looked bloodthirsty and wanting to kill him. Using the blade techniques that he had learned, he cut up this person, leaving them to use a jutsu that appeared to be very strong. Daruma tried to do what he did with the stick, and ended up absorbing the jutsu in his hand. After having it in for a bit, he shoots it out, hitting the person dead on, killing them. Looking at his hand, he was astonished. He had no idea he had such power, and it was amazing that it was just by holding jutsu with his hand.
- Jounin [129]:
When Daruma finally became a Jounin, he tried to hunt down the people that had killed those people. He searched everywhere, finally coming to a dome in the middle of nowhere. He was 8 at the time, and he searched around. He found nobody, and was confused as to why. Finally, these people jumped out of nowhere, and decided to attack him. One of them shot a gigantic orb of fire at him, which he absorbed in his hand. He immediately shot it back at them, but they had a way of deflecting it to. There were to many. Daruma was being beaten on, and he couldn't stop them. Eventually, he just flees. It was back to square one for him, but at least he knew where they were.
- Becoming Stronger [121]:
Daruma comes to terms with his defeat, but is none the less disappointed in himself. He trained even harder, trying to become resistant to pain, have faster reflexes, and other things. He had to catch up with his brother. He had to become more powerful. All he had to do now was train. He went through extreme training over the next 2 years, finally complete when he reached age 10. He was ready to find his brother. Ready to finally meet the person he had thought of for so long, yet had no real memories of him. Ready to kill the ninja that had started fighting, and most of all, ready to become the strongest ninja the world had ever seen. RP Sample: Daruma rubs his temples at the stupidity he had just witnessed from Kurame. It seemed that Idaten was the only one he had hope for. Suddenly, Clyde shows up. He gives excuses about where he was. He didn't really care where Clyde was or how he got here, he was just glad he finally showed up. "Alright. Clyde, you and Idaten should go spar, and see which of you would win. If you hurt each other too much, you're going to have a Kage's foot up your ass. Now if you would please go 30 meters in that direction, that would be great. Also Clyde, if you are late again, I'll teach you something called "Genjutsu Kai"." Daruma pointed to one of the training areas, a place with poles that could be hidden behind. Looking down at Kurame, he grinned. "Now, here's what I'm going to do. You are a genjutsu user, right? Well I'm going to teach you something called Genjutsu Kai. It's how you break out of genjutsu. It usually involves finding 'reality', as well as letting pain snap you out of it. Now, let me give you an example." Daruma looks at the boy, and kicks him directly in the chest, which would knock him onto the ground. "You talk big about becoming Raikage. You are the only Genin here. You are lazy. All you do is insult others to make yourself seem tougher. Now, your sparring partner for today is me." Daruma lifts the boy up, and sets him down. Clapping his hands, he yells to both his group and Clydes, "Let the Spars begin!" They would all soon realize the true point of the clap, was to trap them all in genjutsu. They would all soon see 5 'clones' of him pop out of all solid objects, which would duplicate each time they touched a clone. Waiting for the Nara to start hitting them, Daruma leans against a tree, smirking. Faceclaim: Konoha from Kagerou project~ . u . | |
