Calm Before the Storm [ Open || NoKill ]

Daiko rubs his temples, and presses the palms of his hands to the table. He was tired of being stuck in the Raikage's office, constantly hearing about this war. Konoha had started this so suddenly, it hardly made sense to him. He had decided long before he left the office what he was going to do. Walking into the mansion where Kiyoshi and Hideki stayed, he knocked on both of their doors. Hopefully they were here, it was 7:00 in the afternoon. He first asked Hideki if he wanted to come out and get a drink with him. Then he followed up with an invitation toward Kiyoshi. Going to the other end of the hall, Daiko sits down and waits for them to come out of their rooms. Hopefully this would ease some of the stress weighing down on Daiko so heavily. If Sake helped before, it'll help now.

Kaekio was in a mad rush. As war general this war just created a ton of paperwork and work in general for her. She had to make sure that everything was ready, she might have been red in the face with sweat had she actually had the ability to overheat her body, there were some perks to being a member of her clan. she dashed back and forth, between, well everything. as of right now she had to check their Kunai supply and order more if necessary, which their was a high probability of that. This war with Konoha came so suddenly Kaekio still isn't sure if Kumogakure will be prepared enough to defend from them. in the past Konoha has been named the Strongest Shinobi village. Kaekio wondered if they would still hold that title after this battle or not. she walked briskly down the hall hoping to reach her destination in a swift manner.

It was about 7PM when Kiyoshi heard someone knocking on his door. It appeared Daiko wanted him to tag along to drink. Kiyoshi had never been a heavy drinker. But a bit of sake once in a while would be great. Especially to calm down before the great battle. Kiyoshi walks up to Daiko while asking to him You look worn out. Got something on your mind? Although Kiyoshi was pretty sure he already knew what was on his mind. He had the same thing on his mind. Kiyoshi waited for Daiko to respond. Kiyoshi had his armor on and his sword with him. Kiyoshi had recently acquired a new weapon as well. It would prove usefull to him in the upcoming war. He was thinking of going back to his old Alias. But he still needed some time to think about it.

As Kiyoshi was still waiting for Daiko to respond he couldn't hesitate to ask another question I have another question for you, it's problably better to talk over some sake.

Sighing, and walking through the streets of Kumogakure, Kyoko looked up at the sky, trying to shake the feeling that, through the bright blue sky, there was something worse just around the corner. Ninja would die. They would fight for a cause that wasn't clear, if the cause was only the fact that Konohagakure couldn't handle the fact that Kumo even existed. They had declared war on them recently, but the only way Kyoko had found out was her escort mission she was assigned, and was soon going to do. It had told how someone was important to the war between them, and how he would be needed to stay in Kirigakure, a very close by village. "Maybe I should stay there..." She mumbled to herself, kicking a rock, and suddenly, feeling like a kid again, having not a trouble in the world, except for trying to get Daiko to stop flirting with her. Heh... Daiko. As a kid, he was so... "Silly..." She mumbled once again to herself, not thinking of a better word for the awkward boy. But now... He was... Cold. A shell. Lifeless, careless, and different. Kyoko sighed and picked up the rock that she kicked. It was slightly broken, but otherwise a perfectly normal rock. She pulled out her kunai as she continued on her trip to the village gates, and started carving out a small symbol on the rock, before slipping it in her pocket.

Looking up, she noticed that Daiko was entering... A bar? Rolling her eyes, Kyoko pushed open the door, and followed him in, trying to be as discreet as her bright hair would allow, and plopped in a seat next to him, trying to see what he would say to her in response.

Hideki laid upon the bed within his room of the mansion, his jacket and gloves removed from his body, revealing the frosted forearms and hands which he had grown accustomed to looking at. Small puffs of the cold, visible air radiating off of his arms and hands while the room itself began to freeze slightly. Everything was slowly becoming caked in frost as the temperature continued to slowly decline, reaching a more and more comfortable temperature for the Kazabana by the minute. It would merely be this room though that would be affected, only this room which would become Hideki's own frozen little wonderland, something for him to freely relax in without much need for having to worry about how others would view this. In shorter terms, he loved the room now, and his liking of it merely increased the colder it got.

Rubbing the window with the palm of his hand, the navy-haired Shinobi would allow for more light to enter through. In his personal opinion, he'd have things be both cold and sunny, as he ever so loved the sun and the summer, though he wasn't made to be exactly comfortable in the warmth, which is rather funny considering he wears a winter jacket around purely to help keep him warm, but then again that was just an external excuse. His true excuse being the jacket and gloves denying his uncontrollable tendency to lower the temperature. It wasn't his fault at all that he can't control it, though if he lets it freely change it wherever he goes he'll only be met with spite or neglect, two things which he doesn't exactly like being treated with.

While he relaxed upon the bed, staring out of the frosted window and into the sky, he received a knocking upon his door. Answering it via opening the door and letting some of the cold out, he saw that it was Daiko, whom of which invited him to out to drink. Hideki wasn't much of a drinker, due to the fact that the last time he drank, he ended up figuring out he was a pretty huge lightweight, though he still wouldn't pass up a chance to at least look around the village a bit more, or he should say instead his new home. After nodding his head Hideki closed the door once more, grabbing his coat and putting it over his slender body, zipping up the coat before going on to covering his hands with his gloves. Finally he would grab his headphones just in case things become far too loud and proceeded to walk out of his freezer of a room and back into the warm reality around him.

After exiting his room, he looked down the hall towards Daiko, walking towards him with a more relaxed stride than before.

Daiko exits the large building, bringing along Hideki and Kiyoshi. He finds the bar he went to many nights ago, and steps inside. Sitting on a bar stool, he looks at the bartender. "I'll have a sake." The seats next to him were currently empty, as it seemed he was the first to sit down. Taking the first sip of his alcoholic beverage, he knows this will be an interesting night.

"Wow wow wow... don't tell me you were about to drink without me!" The swordsman boldly, loudly, and confidently spoke, as he entered the place seemingly out of nowhere. With his usual smirk on his face, he casually walked inside and approached Daiko and his friends, pushing a chair out of a nearby table carelessly and proceeding to take a seat on it, crossing his legs as he placed both hands behind his head in the most laziest fashion possible. "You seem to be doing pretty well for yourself. I asked my dear ol' Mizukage to let me come here, make sure you weren't thinking on dying out there in the war... you still owe me a fight, remember?" He flashed a grin, being playful yet serious at the same time. "And I have to admit, your villagers are quite friendly. Friendlier than the ones back home. Pointed me right at where you would probably be."

Soon, however, Yasu glanced at the remaining Shinobis also seated at the table, taking a special interest in the Kunoichi. "Ah... but of course, where are my manners!" He spoke while he stood up from the chair as quickly as he sat on it. Then, with a slight but somewhat polite bow, he introduced himself. "I am Yasu... a fellow comrade, from Kirigakure. One who so happens to be an acquaintance of dear ol' Daiko here."

Hideki left the area mysteriously, having disappeared~

As Kiyoshi went with Daiko to take a seat. He noticed someone calling out to him. Kiyoshi then excused himself to Daiko Sorry Daiko, this will have to wait. I must take my leave Kiyoshi walked back outside to see what was calling him. It appeared to be a ninja from ANBU. He had some intel for Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi listened quietly as he got the details.

There appeared to be something amiss in the city which required his immedate assistance. Kiyoshi then went back to his room to prepare himself, he would be off right afterwards.
