A new continent...

Akira had left home alone. He turned 15 and felt that he should go out and see the world. His sisters didn't like the idea of their youngest brother going off into the world alone, but Akira was no longer the ordinary little brother. The village, once ruled by corrupt individuals, was freed and cared for by the strongest person he'd ever known, a mysterious man named Alec Kane. He was surrounded by many friends and family, and even though it was said that he was a super villain, had the strange ability to make friends with most anyone. Alec had taken he, his cousin Heiwa, and their squadmate named Namie under his wing and taught them many skills and techniques.

And through him, they were able to unlock the most powerful of the Uchiha dojutsu, something not seen in a very long time... but it was something that Akira never let go to his head.

Akira felt like he owed Alec, so when he left Kurayamigakure after he'd gotten it up and running again, Akira decided to go looking for him, and also to explore. A boat had dropped him off in a small village on the coast of this new continent, and he'd started walking after purchasing a map. Akira was taller and slightly more built than he was while training in Kurayami. He let his hair grow out long, having a ponytail tied behind his back that stretched to his behind. He was dressed in a black Uchiha clan shirt with the large collar; a large red and white fan on the back of it. He wore loose fitting black slacks that stopped above his ankles, black sandals and black fingerless gloves. A kunai and shuriken holster was tied around his right thigh. At the small of his back was Stinger, his custom sword forged by Alec.

Akira was walking through the wild. Occasionally he'd come across someone else in the road. The map said that there was a large village called Hanagakure in the direction that he was walking. Akira remembered Alec telling him a story about Hanagakure; it was the village that he suddenly found himself in after losing his memory. Alec attempted to be a regular shinobi of Hana, but it was ran by a corrupt Uchiha. Alec bombed certain areas, killed several people, and defected from Hana to became a Missin-nin, so if Alec was really back here on this continent, he'd still be a wanted man and a criminal. Alec had also returned to Hana, killed more people and assassinated the Commander General. Would they still be looking for him?

Akira wanted to see Alec's home village for himself....

It had always been clear to Namie that her father and siblings didn’t like her: not after the incident that had happened at least. These days though that dislike had clearly evolved into hatred. By throwing her out of the house and doing everything possible to strip her of the family name or any ties to them her father had clearly expected Namie to fail: perhaps to even die? That hadn’t happened though. In the beginning Namie had turned into quite the troublemaker; she spray painted graffiti everywhere, had quite the bad attitude, and sometimes she even stole things – though mostly food or other items she needed to survive. That had all taken a turn for the better of course when Kurai Yanagi had taken the time of day to recognize her and even teach her a cool ability. From there she had gained the Kage of Kurayami himself as her sensei along with two awesome team-mates. She had been invited to live in the Kane Mansion and generally shown that even people with ‘bad reputations’ could be some of the kindest and generous individuals. It was enough to turn her bad attitude around – for the most part, as she was prone to giving nosy strangers a bit of that attitude from time to time – and generally change the majority of her outlook on people in general.

However, that didn’t stop general issues with her own family. Her father and her siblings were envious of her. Envious of her new skills, envious of the weapon that Alec Kane himself had made her, envious that she was living in his house with his family. She had had a few run-ins with her family and none of them had ended very well – the last of which her father had physically tried to assault her. Namie had proved too fast and too skilled for him to even grab her, and the situation had been handled quickly – and threateningly – by several others in the village who had stepped in on her behalf. After that though Namie had decided that a vacation of sorts was in order, some time away from the village so that she could get some distance from her family and they could perhaps try and change their tune with her: the latter Namie didn’t really think was going to happen.

So, when she had heard that her team-mate, Akira, was going to go look for Alec she had decided to follow him – though she left a bit later than he did. It was as good a reason as any to get some traveling in, and the idea of going to a whole new continent that she had never been before was likewise sounding like a promising adventure. She figured she would even get a chance to see where everything started: Hanagakure.

Thankfully, even though Namie had left a bit later than her team-mate, she could still see him: and was in fact finally catching up to him. Of course, she was quite the sight to see – a young female with pink tinted hair and a black skull cap on her head with a Kurayami headband tied around her neck, wearing a white semi-long sleeved shirt, black shorts, and black open toed shinobi sandals with a sword resting on her back, running at full speed with her eyes tightly closed. ”Wait for me!, she called out, giving a last burst of speed so that she could catch up to Akira. Namie would skid to a stop next to him were he to pause and finally open her eyes – thought not before disengaging her chakra radar: she had no intentions of experiencing one of the bad migraines she had been informed of would happen were she to try using both her eyes and the chakra radar at the same time.

A calm look was on his face, but he was excited to finally be out on his own, in the world. No nagging sisters or brother on his neck begging him to teach them something. They wanted to come too, but Akira ran off before they could get packed. Heiwa was off doing her own thing, so he hadn't had the chance to ask her if she wanted to tag along. In the end he didn't mind coming alone.

But then he was no longer alone. He heard the words "wait for me" behind him, and glancing back he could see his other team mate Namie running to catch up with him. Namie looked a lot different from the last time he'd seen her. When he first saw he she looked like some sort of outcast, wearing dark colors and a strange mask, probably so that she didn't inhale the fumes from spray painting pictures on the sides of buildings in Kurayami. When Alec took her in she started dressing like a schoolgirl. Now it seemed she'd taken to dressing like sort of an outcast again, not that he was complaining.

"Couldn't pass up on the opportunity to leave huh," Akira said when she slid to a stop next to him after running to catch up. His voice was a little deeper since he'd grown older and taller, a sign that he was maturing. "I figured you to be with Heiwa though, why follow me?"

It was good to be out of the eternal darkness of Kurayamigakure. The scenery around them was plains and mountains. Rocky outcroppings made for good ambush areas. People in the small village he landed in warned him of bandits and wandering scum out here that robbed and kidnapped travelers on the roads. He wasn't worried; in fact he was hoping for someone to attack him. It had been too long since he was in a serious fight, and he found himself wanting to shake off the rust. Occasionally they would still pass people on the road, but the further they pressed, the fewer the encounters with other travelers became...

Akira mentioned her being unable to pass up the opportunity to leave to which she nodded with a grin, though he also mentioned that he figured she would have stayed with Heiwa. Namie looked around as they walked, noticing that there were very few people around. ”Well uh… right after you left my dad and siblings cornered me in the village. It was worse than any confrontation we’ve had before – my father actually tried to attack me. Thankfully I was too fast for him so he didn’t hurt me, and a few people intervened so it was taken care of without me having to defend myself against them… But, I figured that was my cue that a vacation was needed. Maybe the distance for a while between myself and them will help ease the tension a bit.” She could only hope: she didn’t want to get into a violent altercation with her father and siblings – while they wanted nothing to do with her and hated her she couldn’t fathom the idea of actually attacking them or worse having to kill them.

Namie frowned a bit, scratching her head through the skull cap. ”It’s been becoming more and more tense between myself and them since Alec sensei let me move in with him. I dunno… I guess they expected me to fail, ya know? Only I didn’t. Suppose it bugs them.”, she added thoughtfully.

Not wanting to dwell on the past or what was happening back home she decided to focus her attention back on the here and now: she wasn’t about to get all upset and wheepy over her family drama. ”So.. anyway. Have you come across Alec sensei yet?”, she asked curiously. While keeping pace with Akira she decided to reach into her shorts pocket, pulling out a lollipop with a pink colored wrapper around it. The wrapper was removed and stashed back into her pocket – she wasn’t the type to litter normally – and the lollipop popped into her mouth: watermelon, her favorite flavor.

”I wanted to check out Hangakure – you know, see where it all began and all? I think it’d be pretty cool.”, she added, thoughtfully, figuring it couldn’t hurt but to tell Akira what her plans were.

Namie described a situation with her real family. When they first met, she talked about killing her father. Akira wondered why she hadn't. They got into a confrontation, but through Alec Sensei's training, her father was unable to lay a hand on her. Namie said things seemed to only get worse since Alec took her in as a student, and even let her live in his house; it seemed like they were jealous. Going away for a while seemed to be the best thing to do.

She asked if he'd caught up with Alec Sensei yet, and said that she too wanted to visit the village where he'd come from. "I just not too long ago arrived here myself, so no, I haven't seen him yet," he responded.

Ahead of them, the path became narrow because of rocky outcroppings on either side of the road. The path looked to snake around between high lands for a distance. It looked like a really shady area. There were even people standing around nearby where the lands rose, debating on traveling through or not. Some were saying it was the quickest route to Hanagakure, while others were saying it was a 5 hour trip to go around it, but that was the safest route.

Akira wasn't afraid, and walked right in, much to the surprise of some standing around. Some of them decided to follow, figuring that if a couple of kids were going in, what harm could it do? A couple of the females even asked if Akira was part of the infamous Uchiha clan, to which he responded yes, causing them to fan girl over him. Akira ignored it for the most part...

Before too long they'd come to an area that opened up into a wide space, where there was a single woman crouched over a cart that had a wheel missing. The cart was the first thing that caught Akira's eye, which made him stop walking. The path was too narrow for it to fit in here; how did it get here? Most likely carried... Some of the things on the cart were brand new.

"Help... could you... could you help me, please?" the woman on the ground said. She didn't look injured at all. She had on a pair of tinted glasses, feeling around as if she were blind, yet she looked right at them when they entered this area.

"You know... I don't even need special eyes or senses to tell that this is a trap," said Akira, waiting for the eventual "spring" to come...

Akira answered her question by saying that he hadn’t arrived all that long ago himself, and hadn’t run into Alec yet. Namie kind of doubted he’d be in Hanagakure – though she could be wrong. She couldn’t help but wonder if Alec would return back to the beginning, back to where he had become a missing-nin. She also couldn’t help but wonder if Alec was still considered a criminal around these parts, or if he had simply been forgotten to time. Either way she was quite excited to see Hanagakure and planned on hanging around a bit.

Up ahead the bath became fairly narrow and Namie could see people who weren’t quite sure if they wanted to go through the narrow passage or not. Some spoke out of fear of going around, a way that would take many hours. Just like Akira Namie didn’t bother with the idea of being afraid, and simply continued on the path through the narrow passage. With the training she had done, as well as her trusty weapon Firestarter on her back, she wasn’t too worried about any sort of bandits or trouble they might run into.

With Akira and herself walking down the narrow path several others decided to follow after them; including a few fan girls who acted in their typical fashion after Akira confirmed he was from the Uchiha clan. Namie just rolled her eyes and shook her head a bit: she had little use for girls who lost their heads over such things.

Things were uneventful until they came to an area that was wider than the path they had been on. There was a cart there with a wheel missing, and the woman seemed to be blind except for the fact that she looked directly toward them as they approached. ”Yeah.. there’s something not right about this.” Namie looked around, expecting to see a bunch of goons and thugs coming out of the woodwork. ”You know… these bandits and highwaymen need to come up with a new scheme. The damsel in distress is so over played now.”, she commented loudly, not yet reaching for her weapon but more than prepared to. Namie was actually looking forward to a chance to use her skills – she didn’t like the idea of becoming rusty after all and there was only so much you could learn against test dummies and in practice.

"Well lookie here! We got ourselves a couple of braniacs who ain't as dumb as they look!"

The voice came from above. From the rocky outcroppings jumped 5 guys. They were all wearing typical bandit uniforms; various articles of clothing taken from past travelers. They were all armed with swords, knives and kunai. Besides being muscular and fit, just one glance of them told Akira that none of them were anything special. Likely the grown men were stronger and faster than he was, but that didn't mean they had the advantage.

The 5 landed so that they were surrounding them. The travelers with them began to look terrified as a couple of them looked toward the fan girls with devious eyes, licking chapped lips. Akira still had no expression on his face. "Hunh. And they call US dumb looking..."

The leader looked to be the one wearing the goggles, as he was the one who first spoke. "Looks like we got ourselves a nice haul today, boys," he said, smiling a smile that was missing a few teeth, and the rest were yellow and black. "A wanna be tough guy, a wanna be tough gal, and they were even kind enough to bring us dessert." He referred to the fan girls and the couple of guys with them. "Now this can go one of several ways, but why don't you make this easy on yourselves and give us whatever valuables you have. You there, pretty boy, and you there, redhead... drop the swords and whatever other weapons you may be carrying."

"I don't think so," Akira replied. The fans had started taking off their bags and emptying their pockets, but Akira held up a hand to them, signaling them to stop. "I'll make you the same offer, tough guy. This can go one of several ways for you too. It'd be best for all of you to just let us go on our way, or you'll end up regretting you woke up this morning."

"T... That's right!" yelled one of the fan girls. "He's part of the Uchiha Clan! Y-you p-perverts better let us go o-or you'll be sorry!" It wasn't like he was trying to hide it anymore; the clan symbol was on the back of his shirt, and he was dressed just like one. At this announcement, a couple of the bandits looked skeptical and backed off.

"I knew I recognized that fan symbol on his back," said the bandit behind them. "Boss, she's right... The Uchiha are said to be really strong freaks, maybe we shouldn't get invo---" he was interrupted by a Kunai, thrown at him by the leader to stab him in the throat. He made a choking sound as he went down, and some of the fans screamed. Still, Akira made no reaction.

"Heh... Uchiha..." said the leader. "You guys are said to have magic eyes that can see the future or something like that... I also heard a rumor that these eyes can be stolen, and used by people who aren't in your precious clan. Is that true, tough guy?... Do you have magic eyes? Cause i'll have to carve them out of your eye sockets, and make your little girlfriend watch me while I do it..."

Akira grinned some. "So you wanna find out?..."

Voices from above caused Namie to look up; bandits, just as they had thought. There were five in total, not including the girl who Namie wasn’t so quick to rule out – she could just as easily be planning on attacking them after all if she was rolling with them and playing blind. The leader was an individual wearing goggles and with a smile even a mother couldn’t love: a dentist, he needed one. He, as per usual tough guy bandit speak, began making demands such as jewelry while hinting at what he wanted to do with the fan girls who had been following them. None of it was going to happen of course; Namie didn’t care if they were bigger than her, a sword to the kidney was the same no matter what size you were.

Akira gave a list of demands back which would result in the band of thugs not being gravely injured but Namie was certain they wouldn’t listen – it was the same no matter where you went. The bad guys always thought they were going to win and were too stupid to back down when they should. The fan girls also spoke up after Akira had finished, announcing that Akira was a Uchiha. That seemed to cause several of the bandits to pause. When one of them talked about backing out he got a kunai to his throat by the leader. The leader seemed to know a lot about Uchiha but all of the talk was beginning to bore Namie, indicated by the purposeful bored yawn she let out.

”Blah, blah, blah. Jesus. Can we just skip all the shit talk already and get down to it?”, Namie commented while unsheathing her sword. ”If I’m such a pushover like you think then let’s go already.” This was going to be a perfect time to left off some steam: she was still upset over the situation that had happened with her family and while she wouldn’t ever lay a finger on her father because he was her dad no matter what these bandits wouldn’t be so lucky.

Apparently one of the thugs thought they could take her because he rushed at her, completely ignoring the fact that she had a sword – perhaps he thought she didn’t know how to use it properly. Namie waited, her stance taking on a perfect form for what she was about to do, as she watched her attacker rush at her. At the last second she turned, spinning sideways and avoiding the head on rush and causing her attacker to begin moving past her. This wasn’t the end to her plan though, as with the targets back presented to her she swiped her sword twice before he moved out of her range: leaving a nice bloodied X across his back and shredding the shirt he had on to pieces in the back. The man let out an outraged cry of pain as he stopped and turned toward her: the slices weren’t deep enough to kill him but they surely would never heal properly without an actual medic taking care of them – not that he would likely live long enough for that to happen.

”If you leave now I’ll let you live.”, Namie commented while watching both him and the others to ensure no one tried sneaking up on her; she would give him one last chance to leave before she would end up most likely having to take his life.

“You stupid bitch! I’ll make you pay for that! This was my best shirt!”, the thug responded, clearly ignoring his chance to get out of this situation. He rushed at her again, his arms wide like a bears would be when attacking. He clearly seemed to be expecting her to make the same move as she did the last time. Instead, at the last moment Namie rushed toward him too, her right hand holding her sword and her left empty for what she was about to do. At the last second, and leaving him no chance to grab her, as they neared Namie launched herself in a skilled front flip over the man, using her left hand on his shoulder to balance herself. She turned midair so that her front was always to her enemy, and landed behind him. As the thug skidded to a stop and turned Namie put the tip of Firestarter to the blade as she channeled chakra into it causing it to ignite. ”Last chance.”

Firestarter:

“Bitch!”, the man responded.

Namie frowned and suddenly spun, her blade ablaze. With the sharpness of the blade, as well as the fire, she cleanly and skillfully beheaded the bandit, causing his flaming head to go rolling across the ground as the rest of his body dropped limp in a heap. ”Anyone else want to die?”

One of the guys got ahead of himself and tried attacking Namie. After a brief tussle he was left without his head. Everyone watching were surprised, scared and disgusted at the same time, except for Akira, who continued staring towards the goggled bandit.

Akira's eyes glazed over into a red crimson color, with 3 tomoe surrounding the pupil. He made fists on both hands, causing his knuckles to crack. "If you're still planning on gouging out my eyes, now's your chance," Akira said, beckoning him with one hand. "This is what you wanted, right?... Come and get them." The remaining 3 bandits, looking at Akira's eyes, didn't know what to make of them, yet the fans all looked like they were about to orgasm.

Sharingan:

Chakra 865/875

2 of the remaining bandits ran towards Akira, while one closed in on Namie. The leader and another bandit both tried stabbing Akira, but with the way he moved, it was as if he knew what was going to happen before it did. He moved out of the way of every swing before it was fully swung with little to no effort. The bandits both seemed to just grow more frustrated. Akira caused the leader to stab his bandit partner in the gut, pushing one of the swings towards his mid-section. The blade went all the way in to the handle; the tip of the blade coming out of his back.

The leader looked shocked. His bandit cohort had wide eyes and began to bleed profusely from his wound while his legs turned to rubber. He went down while trying to form words, his skin sweaty and turning pale. The leader, pissed off now, snatched his blade from his dying partner in crime and rushed Akira, making wild swings that were easily predictable.

"Why don't you guys ever just run away when you can clearly see you're out matched?" Akira asked, easily dodging and ducking the rage filled swings. "Do you really think getting angry is gonna help you here?"

"SHUT THE FUCK U---" the leader began to yell, before he was disarmed by way of having the fingers on his right hand sliced off, after Akira disarmed him and attacked with his own weapon. The leader started to scream and yell. A kick came next, but it was blocked, and the blade shoved through his kneecap. The leader went down still screaming, nursing his hand and leg.

"Sigh... typical bad guy," he said, motioning for the fans to follow him. They all seemed to have hearts in their eyes. The female from before who trid to set them up looked scared.

"You're... you're not going to kill me, are you?... They forced me!" she said, backing away as Akira approached, but he walked right past her.

"You're not even worth it," Akira mumbled.

"Well then... can I - can I go with you?"

"No." Nami should have finished up with that last bandit by then, and they would continue along the path that became narrow again, and lead back to open plain...

The onlookers seemed shocked, scared, and disgusted as the head of the first bandit to attack her rolled but she paid the looks and noises no mind. Her focus remained on the targets as she noticed a change in the fan girls nearby: they had noticed Akira activating his Sharingan while speaking and were clearly ‘excited’ about it. While one of the remaining bandits rushed toward Namie the other two rushed towards Akira. She couldn’t help but think of how stupid they had to be, or how desperate to get Akira’s eyes they were, if they were still willing to attack despite their comrade who had been killed so easily. Namie could have easily killed him on her first swing, but she had wanted to give the guy a chance to walk away even after attacking her – so it was his fault he was dead. But, now here was another moron rushing toward her who would likely end up dead before everything was over with.

”You guys just don’t know how to take a hint I see.” Namie commented as she watched her target run closer and closer, withdrawing a kunai as he did so. Kunai or not he still wasn’t going to stand a chance. Considering that the last thug hadn’t headed her warning or taken her numerous chances to walk away like he should have she wasn’t about to waste her breath with this one. So, as he got within distance she swung her sword at him, clearly aiming to pierce him in the front right around where his right kidney would be. Firestarter, despite still burning, was deflected by the kunai but just barely. She swiped again and once more the goon tried to deflect her attack only to end up with his hand cut. As the pain distracted him Namie made another swipe clearly cutting off his hand and causing his hand as well as the kunai in it to fall to the ground.

“AAAAAAAARRRGGGGGHHHHH!”, the thug called out.

Namie wasn’t going to give him a chance to get over his pain though as she rushed forward, her sword pointed ahead of her. At the last minute she lunged, piercing her sword through the man’s neck and easily severing his spine as the sword came out the other side. She withdrew her sword, pulling a cloth from one of her pouches and wiping the blood off as the man stumbled backwards, his neck squirting blood as his heart gave its last few pumps. Namie sheathed her blade as the thugs dead body hit the ground.

Glancing over to the Akira she noticed that he had likewise taken care of his own targets, leaving just the girl who immediately began to blame the bandits for her choices in life. While Akira said that she wasn’t even worth his time Namie would wait until most of the group had moved forward before walking over to the girl – her weapon sheathed. Considering Akira had told her she couldn’t go with them Namie leaned in and whispered into her ear, ”I’d suggest changing your life choices here and now. You’re being given a chance to walk away… a chance you wouldn’t have if I were in a different kind of mood. Go get a real job, go join a nunnery, or go back to school.. I don’t care, but you need to change your life around because I can tell you that if I come across you again and you’re running with another group and pulling this stunt? I will kill you – slowly.” The girl was probably piss herself terrified but Namie didn’t care, instead she followed after the group, easily catching up to Akira again as the path began to narrow once more.

”… I wonder if we’ll run into anyone else trying to rob us.”, Namie would muse out loud, thoughtfully.
