Clan History: Once a clan that used primarily Katon jutsu, over the generations the Funen developed on obsession with the smoke created by fire and worked to gain control over the ethereal substance. Generation of practice bore fruit via Enton, the clan's Smoke Release. The clan has never been very centralized, many of the members are afflicted in their youth with a sense of wanderlust that takes them all over the world. Because of this, the clan itself is highly scattered, with many different families and bloodlines carrying the potential to unlock the Enton Kekkei Genkai.

Kekkei Genkai: Enton (Smoke Release - 煙遁)
Kekkei Genkai Description: Smoke Release is an advanced element Kekkei Genkai that allows its users to control and manipulate smoke for effects, whether offensive or defensive. Generally speaking, the target must inhale or otherwise come in contact with the smoke for it to be effective; at which point it can act as anything from a poison to a hallucinogen to a toxic material. Contact with flesh can cause all manner of effect; the most common of which are chemical and/or poison burns, illusion creations, etc.
Drawbacks: Fuuton jutsu of equal or higher ranking will cause the smoke to disperse, rendering it ineffective. Re-breathers with proper filters can stop the smoke from being inhaled at all; and proper clothing will block contact with skin. Katon jutsu of 1 rank or higher above the Enton jutsu will cause the smoke to burn away and dissipate just as Fuuton jutsu would.
