Clan History: The Kangen clan started out as nothing more than a highly talented family of musicians and singers. As generations passed a few of them got interested in the ninja arts, but they proved too frail for the majority of the ninja ways. However, after years of honing and perfecting it, the clan began to realize that their chakra responded quite well in fact to their music.
And so a new style was born within the clan.
The ability to mold and shape, to use their own chakra with nothing more than their singing or a musical instrument became the way of the clan. Each child who reaches the age of three within the clan are given a group of instruments to choose from, the instrument chosen is what they are trained in: if the child prefers to use their voice than that is what they are trained in (For those choosing an instrument you may write up a freebie item to use for jutsu upon character completion).

Kekkei Genkai: Musical Control
Kekkei Genkai Description: Due to the long standing clan affinity for music, they have refined their chakra to respond to their music in a way that allows them extremely fine control via their voices or musical instruments. Specific notes and tone correspond to a specific chakra in a way that allows them to create entire songs that bring with them a wealth of techniques. Each Kangen's technique and style is different, meaning that each member of the clan has a different roster of jutsu, with only teachers and their students sharing the same music and jutsu.
Drawbacks: The Kangen must be able to sing or play an instrument to tap into the clan's hidden potential. If an instrument playing member loses their instrument they lose access to all clan abilities; and if a singing member's throat is damaged or they are rendered unable to sing, the same will happen. The clan is somewhat frail, as they are more inclined to be artists versus fighters; so they take a -1 rank/power to Taijutsu as a specialty, while all Taijutsu used against them gains +1 power.

Description: The source of the Kangen power; the clan member channels chakra into their throat or instrument and uses their control to mold and shape the chakra into unique and individualized jutsu that reflect their specific musical style. This jutsu MUST be known to use or create ANY Kangen musical jutsu. This jutsu is triggered at the beginning of a battle, or whenever the user wishes to use their special music jutsu; and all musical jutsu used will trigger for it's appropriate cost. This needs only be triggered once per battle, and requires no cooldown so long as the user still has chakra.
