Zarame-yuki

Zarame-yuki (粗目雪) – Located toward the bottom of the mountains this village sees the least amount of snowfall – though it is covered most of the year regardless of this fact due to the cold temperatures keeping most of the snow from melting.

Kata-yuki

Kata-yuki (堅雪) – Located halfway up the mountain side this village has been wiped out twice before due to violent snow and land slides though the last time was nearly twenty fifty years ago.

Mochiyuki

Mochiyuki (餅雪 ) - Located at the top of the mountain this village receives the most snowfall each year. It is by far the largest of the villages though it is the hardest to get to due to the rough landscape and the fact that one must travel the whole way up the mountain through winding dangerous paths.
