| Basics! Name: Hideki Kazabana Age: 16 Birthdate: October 5th Gender: Male Sexuality: Bisexual Rank: A Rank Village: Konohagakure Clan: Kazabana Clan Element(s): Suiton(S)/Futon(C)/Hyoton(C) Specialties: Ninjutsu(S)/Kenjutsu(C) Special Characteristics: Name: Cold Comfort Type: Unique (Clan based) Description: Hideki seems to emit a strange aura from his body, which if given enough time, will cool down the air temperature in his immediate area to something that is more comfortable to him (roughly sixty degrees or below). It is more of a comfort tactic, allowing him to function for extended periods of time in warmer weather. Appearance! Height: 5'4" Weight: 110 lb Hair Color: Navy Blue Eye Color: Blue-Gray General Description: Hideki normally wears winterized clothing such as a heavy green coat with white fur along the edges of the hood and a pair of brown gloves out of personal preference for the type of clothing. He keeps a pair of white headphones around his neck for when he wishes to listen to music or just block out the sounds around himself and he keeps a leather pouch containing his ninja tools on his right thigh. He has a pale skin complexion and a light blue tattoo of his Clan's symbol on his back, covering the upper portion. If he takes off his gloves and rolls up his coat sleeves one can see a faint frost covering his hands and forearms. He wears a pair of black pants and gray boots as well. His hair is naturally a blue color, which causes some teasing from others, though none which he cannot take, and he keeps a glaring look about him. About You! Personality: Hideki is a lonely individual, though it's not because of others rejecting him, neglecting him, ignoring him, or anything like that, but it's more that he chooses to be alone. The feeling of being alone actually calms him and helps him focus, and thus allows him more of a chance to improve and grow. Does he completely reject others? No, though he isn't exactly one to make the first move or be the kickstarter in a potential friendship or even intimate relationship. Usually, he acts in a serious fashion. He isn't known to be the type to drag things out any longer than they have to and will, if he can, get the job done as quickly as possible. When out on a mission, he will care more for the completion of the said mission than the lives of others during it. If the mission involves taking one, then he can do so with no actual effect on his psychological state due to being able to simply shut away the feelings he has. Sometimes though he can forget he is keeping an emotional wall up, causing him to act emotionless towards others after a mission is completed. With the way Hideki acts, he has been questioned time and time again about his loyalties to the Village. Such loyalties that other Shinobi which hail form the Leaf show isn't found within Hideki whatsoever, instead more indifference than anything. This can cause suspicion that he may defect at any possible moment should it interest him, and can also cause distrust between himself and others. Likes: Hideki likes warm things. Beaches, Summer, deserts, it doesn't matter to him as long as it's warm. He loves being alone or when there aren't many people around as it relaxes him and it's only during situations such as these where he could lower his guard. He also likes to eat any kind of fish or marine life, as it is his favorite type of thing to eat over all. He enjoys sleeping more than anything, and one could occasionally find him napping both before and after a mission. He also likes animals, particularly dogs, viewing the loyal creatures as interesting and rather fun creatures to be around. Dislikes: Hideki dislikes killing, plain and simple, though if it is for a mission or in order to stop a potential threat he will not hesitate, not even if it's a child or defenseless elderly person he has to slaughter. He also dislikes the cold, and despises the chilling presence he has about him as it promises discomfort to others and it makes him irritable to be around sometimes in general due to his knowing it's affecting others. He also dislikes large crowds, viewing them to be rather loud and annoying, and he will usually act irritable or annoyed when in one. He finally dislikes failure, usually placing the blame onto the one promised with preforming such a mission as it is their responsibility to carry it through completely and without fail. Motivations: Hideki is motivated by the want to become stronger. He likes growing more powerful than before, enough so that he almost craves it like a glutton would food. He is also motivated by his wish to succeed, viewing failure as something that isn't an option. His drive for success and power caused him to train nearly nonstop, allowing for him to reach the rank he reached today. He is also motivated by his wish to be useful, hoping that in the end, he did indeed prove useful to someone if anyone at all, as a life being useless is one not worth living, at least in Hideki's eyes that is so. Fears: Hideki fears dying even though he views it as merely a small probability. The off chance that someone could indeed snuff away his life, leaving behind an empty husk that is useless to everyone frightens him. It frightens him even more so right now as he still feels useless, that he didn't even make much of a difference by helping. It's a crippling fear, but one which he could only express in a moment where death comes in, embracing him. He also fears that he may one day become a tool for another to wield, and he will lose all humanity he had in exchange for just proving himself useful. He also fears the food within another village, suspecting that there's poison within. It's not that he's discriminating or anything of the sort, but it would help the foreign power if there were less potential enemy Shinobi around to cause trouble, and so he just doesn't trust the things the other villages makes at first. History:Childhood: - Spoiler:
A child stumbled through a snow-covered forest, his blue eyes full of exhaustion and his body weary from moving. Each breath he took was greeted by the cold air that engulfed his small and frail body, and though the area around him did indeed seem cold, and his hands and arms appeared to be covered by frost, the child himself didn't appear to be showing signs of frostbite, nor did he appear to be really affected by the cold. It was a strange thing, though perhaps all strange things have explanations as to why.
A Squad of Shinobi would be just happening to be returning to their village, taking this route as they moved with haste. It would be this Squad which would take notice of the helpless child and stop in their tracks in order to investigate. The child had nothing which could help the Shinobi figure out which village he was from, neither did the young child even know himself. All he could truly remember was himself traveling through the snow-ridden forests ever since a few days back. The Squad discussed it amongst each other. While two of them wished to bring the seemingly homeless and abandoned child back to their village, the remainder preferred to leave the child where he is currently as a way of keeping the village from having a potential spy or threat. In the end though, they decided that since the child was still at such a young age and seemed to have no memories of his previous home, it wouldn't be harmful to bring him back to their village with them, and so they did.
As they four Shinobi returned home with the now unconscious young boy, one of them decided to take care of him until he became healthy again. This person would become the only person Hideki ever recalled liking in his entire short life, and also the only person he would view as a family member, a father really, and treated him as such. He would wait excitedly for this Shinobi to return home from missions and he would always sit down and listen to the stories that were being freely shared between his now unofficially adoptive father to himself, he even befriended the two Shinobi that wished to just leave him to die, causing both to regret ever wishing to abandon him in the first place.
Academy: - Spoiler:
1st Year: - Spoiler:
After being saved from what would have been certain death by the Squad of Shinobi, Hideki was placed into the Academy at the age of six years old, where he would seemingly excel and improve. He wasn't the best at anything, but he certainly wasn't the worst. His instructors noticed that he was learning and improving at a fast rate, though that he also had a bit of an antisocial problem where he wouldn't really connect with his fellow students, even going as far as provoking a fight with a few others. There was one student which he had looked up to though, and that was one that went by the name of Oda Ryota. He rather looked up to the fellow student purely because he knew there was a power that he craved within the older boy, and so he strived to reach such lengths of power, allowing him to begin reaching higher and higher within his class even though he was younger than most.
2nd Year: - Spoiler:
Within the second year of his being at the Academy, which he chose to do via not going to the exams, Hideki acted in a more serious manner as he became more skilled than most of his class throughout the year. What he lacked in one thing at one time, he would cover with something else, and during spars he had shown signs of being able to quickly and efficiently come up with a strategy on the spot. It got to the point where some children in his second year class began to view him as more of a demon than anything, and the presence he gave others when being near him didn't help with that. Sure, he was able to make some friends, but most mostly wished to stay away from him.
Genin: - Spoiler:
When Hideki was a Genin, he became a student under one of the very Shinobi which had saved him before along with two others. He would remain a Genin for what felt like two years, preforming missions, bonding with his teammates, and overall beginning to open himself up more. It appeared that maybe this serious person that only wished for success and improvement had a heart after all, and that all it took was a mere forcing to be within a group with two other students and one Sensei to help him break out of his external shell and reveal a nicer version of himself. More missions were completed and soon enough, the team of three began to tackle C Ranked missions on a regular basis, using their abilities to a lethal and effective extent when they were working together.
Overall, the time he spent as a Genin was probably the best time of his life so far. After spending two years as one, Hideki joined the Chuunin Exams as a member and passed them, entering the next stage of his life.
Chuunin: - Spoiler:
When Hideki was a Chuunin, he and his Sensei left the village for a little while, choosing to train in the forests surrounding Konohagakure. His Sensei taught him the skills he desired in order to allow him to progress even farther, and even showed him a little bit of what it was like to not distance himself anymore, causing Hideki to feel a slight preference to being with another rather than being alone or acting alone. This wouldn't last long though, as his Sensei was soon afterwards assassinated by a random Missing Nin right before Hideki's eyes, causing him to immediately return back to his old antisocial and power craving self. He craved more than just power though, he craved revenge.
As Hideki returned alone back to Konohagakure, he was placed under suspicion of killing his Sensei, though his being suspected would only last so long before they gave up, realizing that he wouldn't even dare touch a hair on the now dead teacher's head, and that he even looked up to him as a father-figure. After the investigation ended with no results, Hideki returned to his two regular Squad mates, where he would accompany them on a mission they were assigned to. The mission was that they needed to acquire intel from the home of a suspected traitorous noble, though the mission turned out to be a trap that caused the deaths of both of Hideki's Squad members along with the injuring of Hideki himself. As Hideki returned to the village, defeated and broken, he grew a passion within himself to never allow the failure of a mission to occur again under his watch, whether it be a trap or not.
And so he ensured failure wouldn't happen again. He basically was assigned to accompany other Squads on their missions and assignments, where each one would come back safe and successful, though something about Hideki screamed out that it wasn't enough, and that his determination wished for more, starved for more, lusted for more. The Hokage, catching this ambition within Hideki, decided to put his skills to the test by testing him against a Jounin, and as Hideki came out on top, he was promoted to Jounin Rank, the rank which he is at today.
RP Sample: The insufferable cold.. Hideki hated this coldness. It was an annoying thing to deal with on a mission such as this one where it was vital for one to not make an incorrect move, not even a shiver form the cold. It was on this mission Hideki along with one other would infiltrate the cold reaches of the Land of Iron. Though it was an unspoken rule for Shinobi to not meddle in the affairs of such a place, a Missing Nin from the Leaf escaped to the Land, most likely hoping that the Leaf would continue to follow the unspoken law and not pursue him. He would be wrong though.. dead wrong. Both Jounin Ranked members moved with quick, silent haste. Making sure to stay out of sight, everything seemed to be working according to plan, though this was merely the easy part, and the hard part was truly when they are expected to have complications in this mission. Sure, it may seem skilled for the two members of the secret organization to remain out of sight of the patrols and guards, though really any idiot with common sense could do it. If they were to simply be caught just because they weren't stealthy enough, then in Hideki's eyes that alone deserved the said person to be booted off of the organization. Both members reached a lone samurai or otherwise known as their target. They already knew from reports that the missing nin is deeper within the territory, and for the mission to be completed, it would require one to be in the shadows and one to be in disguise in order for the risk of both being caught to be lowered to a minimal chance. Silently both Shinobi took their places, Hideki hidden behind a nearby tree, while his comrade kept hidden within a pile of snow, both waiting for the right moment to strike this inattentive guard. Then though, it would happen. A small shivering motion being made by Hideki created a shaking motion within the shadow of the tree, and as he heard the Samurai unsheathe his weapon, he knew he had to act fast. Quickly, before the armored guard could mutter out a word, both Shinobi appeared from their respective hiding places, both letting a Kunai fly and, both weapons hitting their marks. The now dead Samurai would fall to the ground, both projectiles protruding from his neck. As Hideki and his comrade would reach the body, Hideki would silently speak. "Sorry.."Being given a nod, a sign that the comrade accepted his apology, both would continue preforming the assignment. Faceclaim:
