Clan Name: Ookami Clan
Location: Land of Grass
History: Like many animal sages, the history of the wolf clan can be traced back to the valley of the chakra beasts. Long before humans roamed the forests and grasslands, wolves and other canines prowled the lands; acting as protectors of the sacred places and balance between the creatures large and small. Their packs made them stronger then the individual beasts; yet they could still function alone. This diversity made them perfect for their jobs.
From the valley of the chakra beasts they came; the first of many waves of strange creatures born of a power the animals of the land could not understand. Creatures they had never seen; mixed beats and beings beyond nature's ability to create; they began to fill the lands once empty of life. Some took to the mountains, the seas and oceans, the clouds and forests; others began to fight over the special places, the sacred sites that would one day become the sacred sage temples.
Some of these creatures gravitated towards their proper homes; the frogs of the mountains, the snakes of the deep forest; they belonged to those sanctuaries, as if they had been born to tend to them. Others beasts, they fought over the remaining sites. They fought for the power contained within; power that was not theirs to command.
The animals saw this and their hearts were broken; these places were not meant to be fought for, they were places to cherish and protect. Only the canines; those foxes and wolves and dogs and coyotes and jackals that roamed the lands chose to fight against the intruders. Each species was native to the lands around the disputed sites; they alone fought for the sanctity of the lands.
Generations of wars were waged; the packs thousands strong slowly being whittled away to nothing; numbers dropping like stones as they fought creatures far more powerful then even their packs could handle. In those final years; all seemed lost. The packs had dwindled to nothing; entire lines gone extinct and lost to time. Only the wolves of the grasslands continued to fight; they would fight until none were left.
From the very place that spawned the beasts they fought came the salvation of their kinds; a new wave of chakra beasts emerged; allies of the canine protectors born at last. Chakra beasts of the canine species; wolves and dogs and foxes and all of the lost cousins emerged to take up the fight. The remaining animals took to their patron's cries with glee; they had a chance now, and they would win.
Generations more were spent fighting the invaders; thousands more fell. But this time; now with the power of their own allied beasts; the canines were winning. The invaders fled or died were they fought; the power of their bodies giving rise to new forests, new mountains and lakes and rivers and deserts; the battles changed the face of the world itself.
When the battles were finally won; the canine beasts looked upon the new world and too the ancient sanctuaries they had saved; each finding a home among them, and taking their different people with them. To one of these hidden paradises went the wolves and their patron beast. In their new home they found peace and power; each new generation was greater, smarter, more 'evolved' then the last. This time lasted more generations then any could remember; times of peace and prosperity that had never been seen, nor would come again.
The world outside was changing; early humans had come to the world and their wars had begun to change the land. The beasts saw this from their hidden places and weeped for the end of their rest; but their duties were clear. It was time to once more take upon themselves the mantle of protectors of the world. Returning to the world after their long absence; they found among the humans like minded souls; men and women they could ally with and guide to the truth of the world. Some of the canines became the ancestors of the great clans: the Ookamizuka and Inuzuka and all the rest that partnered with canines to fight; while others stayed behind and became the clans of Sage animals spoken of in reverent whispers; hunted for their powers and treated as legends.
The wolves; while divided, never truly lost touch with their sage cousins. The humans they allied with were guided and molded slowly, until their cousins were able to reveal themselves to them. The humans; the Ookamizuka, they were given the blessing and protection of the wolf sages; a partnership that stands strong to this day.
Description of clan ability: The power of the wolves lay in their pack nature. Feral and cunning; these powerful beasts hunt in highly organized packs, allowing them to take down prey and enemy far more powerful than a single wolf alone. To the human that masters the aspects of the Wolf Sages goes the power of the Alpha wolf; the ability to command and lead the entire pack. Physical strength, extreme cunning; teamwork unbreakable; all awaits those who can handle it.
Wolf Sages take on the feral appearance and nature of the wolf; razor sharp fangs and claws, wild hair, lean but powerful musculature and build. Sages gain a +2 power to Taijutsu when in Sage mode and in the presence of their pack.. Any trained wolf sage is able to summon a pack of wolves to them at any time they wish. The ability to speak to and understand all canines is granted as well.
Drawbacks: While powerful; a wolf sage's biggest weakness is rather obvious. Wolves are pack creatures; much of their power is directly tied to how well the function in groups. Separate a Sage from their pack and they lose their Taijutsu enhancement; as well as access to many of their jutsu. Because the Sage has access to only one pack; you can easily disable a sage by trapping the wolves in a way that they cannot be resummoned; or by destroying the pack entirely.

Description: A skill granted to all who master the arts of the Wolf Sage; the Alpha is able to call upon an entire pack of wolves to aid them in battle. The packs vary in size based on the summoner's power and rank; low rank Sages can summon 6 wolves, while Master Sages can summon 12. Each wolf is B-ranked in overall power; and shares the primary element of the Sage (Ex. the Sage's primary element is wind, therefore all wolves in their pack have wind). The Element of the wolves is treated as B-rank. They have no true jutsu to speak of; however they are able to release blasts of pure elemental fury (Bullets of wind/water, flamethrowers, etc) of B-rank power. Each wolf may only release one blast of their element before losing access to this skill until the end of their current summoning or the end of the current thread, whichever happens first.

While active, Canine's Fury boosts the physical abilities of the use by 1 full rank, including damage output.
