Height: 5'9" Weight: 131lbs Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Light Blue General Description: Nanai is about five feet and nine inches tall, weighing about one hundred and thirty one pounds. She holds a somewhat slender body built, followed by having some hint of muscles in her arms. Nanai has black long hair that reaches up to her waist, but it's often seen as a ponytail; rare to see it even down all out, with pure, light crystal blue eyes. She has a light complexion, as she also happens to have long scar that travels across her stomach, hence why she wears a light blue belt around her exposed midriff. Her clothing style is more of being detached, such as her black sleeves and collar with white trimmings, along with parts of her light blue shirt, followed with a black skirt and a white belt and along with other varies accessories, such as a black bow around her lower waist. About You! Personality: Nanai is an overall disciplinarian, who favors strict compliance and a woman who is naturally formal, including her acquaintances with her congenital vacuous mien with her glacial light blue eyes being shown(so Japanese honorifics would be used at times; However most of the time, she may just refer to people by their last name), who is very realistic and straight to the point. It is rare for her to actually show any emotions on her face, unless someone can wow her in any way, from anger to being happy. She can also be known for having an assertive and forthright persona, but also a classy lady of who can be sophisticated and of course, elegant. Nanai is also an open-minded woman, as she is willing to take on new ideas, but can be very judgmental at the same time with being logical and witty. She is someone that doesn't tolerate those who wish to interrupt her peace, as she can of course be peaceful, and prefers her peace all to herself than to share it with others. Depending on how others would approach her, Nanai would would return the same style the other person would, except remaining her vacant facial expression, and mostly in a calm fashion. She is also shown to be someone who is mature, and someone who wants to get her job done and correctly. This can mean that Nanai would have zero tolerance for those who are either loud, obnoxious, cocky, or anyone that tries to annoy her. However, she wouldn't express her emotions through her face, but rather through her actions and words as she remains her expressionless face with showing off a rather shameless and impertinent way. Despite somewhat having an insolent attitude, Nanai has the ability to respect others, typically with high authorities. But as said before, if she doesn't get respect, she'll be gladly to return the greeting the same way they did. However, that doesn't stop the fact that she acknowledges the value they hold within the village of Iwagakure, regardless on who they are and their rank. Nanai is also a very tidy and organized woman, who keeps her work in order and a very clean woman. However in her own home where she's all alone, specifically with her clothing, she is nothing more than being disheveled and untidy, in which she sticks with the usual big shirt over panties route. Likes:
- Peace: This is usually her number one like. As something who can be strict and doesn't like those who are loud, she is someone who likes peace all to herself, as she wouldn't get so much stress worked up or trying to break her calm streak. If anything, she prefers something quiet and steady, so Nanai can enjoy her time by herself.
- Seafood: Nanai can go gaga, though she doesn't show it, over seafood, as it's one of her favorite types of dishes. From crab sticks, shrimps, or even anything from the sea that is edible and has a lot of flavor to it. However, she can be a picky one on what she expects but will enjoy it regardless. Well, depending on the taste, of course.
Dislikes:
- Nicknames: Nai, Nana, or even Nainai, Nanai doesn't like to be called by any nickname. As a high rank and of course someone who can always be serious and the fact that she isn't so much the type of lady to simply hang loose, it would be a complete bother to be called by any of those nicknames whatsoever, or any other nickname that has a high chance of pissing off Nanai.
- Drinking: Nanai isn't a fan of alcohol since it's bitter to her taste buds, and of course she wouldn't be the type to go ahead of overdose herself to the point where she'll go drunk. Staying sober is always the best.
Motivations: Nanai has a lot of motivations set in the future, and one of them were completed which was of course, to become a Jounin. She sets herself to be a little more realistic, but at the same time can go a little overboard with her imagination at times. One motivation would be to become apart of the ANBU in order to help serve Iwagakure more fluently than how she is as of now, with an attempt to assist others in need, no matter how much she hates them or not. Nanai would still acknowledge that everyone in Iwagakure has value in them so it isn't so much of a bother for her. Fears:
- Death: Now, Nanai isn't typically afraid of death unlike some shinobis, but instead is afraid of the death of her allies. Despite her somewhat careless personality, and no matter how much this is repeated often, everyone holds a value to Nanai in Iwagakure, so someone of an high authority such as the Tsuchikage for example at death, it wouldn't be so long before Nana break down in shock, though her expressions would be minimal, as her heart would rather pound like crazy. Or at least, to the people she knows.
- Medical Needles: Nanai is deathly afraid of medical needles, as she would simply freak out to make a run for it. This is also considered a great fear, as these things could break her blank face streak, causing to show fear all out like no tomorrow.
History:- The Academy Life:
Her background is unknown before she was eligible to attend the academy of Iwagakure, as well as her academy days were somewhat blurry. However, there were only a few facts confirmed: Her mother and father both died in murder when she was at least seven years old, and thus had to stay with her older brother, Nasora. Nasora was just like how Nanai is today: strict, classy, and assertive. Since he was her only sibling, she looks up to her only brother as if he was a god. Because of that, Nanai wanted to mimic the way her brother acts, or at least act like him because she thought that she would be better like that. It certainly didn't help when she reached to being a student at the academy.
Nanai was mostly being avoided due for having a "spoiled" behavior and everyone would think that she would try to hurt someone, when in reality, she was just trying to be in her brother's shoes. Though, she did had to be blamed in some way, however. Everytime when somebody would speak their mind on something or answer a question, Nanai would butt in to either correct someone in a rude manner, or simply speak herself out. Because of that, she was rather more getting more bullied than simply being avoided. Though, it didn't bother her too much.
Though, the bullying on Nanai stopped as she met another woman named Suki, as she was an exact replica of Nanai. Rude, snotty, shameless, anything that she would act of. However, it seemed as if Suki had a soft side for her, as she would often rather tease her in a flirtatious way as the years went by. She also had the habit of calling her nicknames such as Nai, Nainai, and the rest continues would made Nanai rather more annoyed than trying to be friendly, and to the point where she wanted to punch her to death. However despite her annoying personality, there are times where Nanai would question her sexuality. Suki was actually a cute little girl in which somehow, had a winsome personality with a rough demeanor and having such leadership, wondering if other women could be somehow similar.
However, the rest was left alone a blur. This was how much Nanai knew about her academy says, just having a rough social activity issue, and possibly falling in love in a woman she despises. The Nai today still even cringes on trying to remember memories such as that.
- Being a Genin:
At the age of 13, Nanai graduated from being an academy student, to becoming a genin. She felt as if she was one step closer to being even a jounin. Now that she was thirteen, she thought she would take the time and practice her jutsus, specifically starting with her first specialty, ninjutsu. Nanai was always a hardworking girl how wants to strive and complete her goals as quickly as possible. For that, she decided to take on her first element, lightning. She has always found lightning to be an interesting element with its ability to pierce through things. So with that, Nanai decided to practice some lightning ninjutsu.
The moment Nanai was genin, the next day, she decided to travel to the training grounds, where she began to work on her training. However, she wasn't alone. Not too far, was no other than Suki herself as she looked even more beautiful to Nanai's eyes. Spotting the other genin, Suki then decided to approach the girl in a more friendly matter, showing off a cheerful smile. Nanai though, still remained her blank expression on her face, yet on the inside she was just bursting with glee. She was then asked if they both wanted to train, in which Nanai immediately accepted the offer. Nana was working on her ninjutsu on lightning, while Suki was working on her Kenjutsu, as she held a katana.
With the offer accepted, the two girls were then off. Nanai didn't decide to use her lightning jutus just yet, considering she didn't have any so she had to rely on her strength, agility, and tactics. Unfortunately, she didn't bring any weapons with her, so it was hard to block Suki's sword attacks other than evading. Nana had to admit however, Suki was as if she was already a swordsman but Nanai wasn't so bad herself either. Somehow, she managed to land some hits here and there to the other Suki. Her defense unfortunately wasn't so great which could explain why Nana was able to inflict most hits.
Pissed from all the hits she's been enduring, Suki threw a quick, hard slash to Nanai's stomach, causing it to automatically bleed. A moderate amount of blood then exited out of her stomach, as she then began to stumble back in tremendous pain. Before she knew it, Nanai suddenly collapsed onto the ground. A gasp came from Suki as she watched her friend slowly bleed out. Dropping her katana, she then picked up Nana as she didn't weigh so much for Suki to struggle with, and then made her way to the hospital.
After a few hours later, Nanai appeared in the hospital, waking up from her long slumber. There, was Suki who would sitting right next to Nana as she was lying down in bed. She explained everything on what the medical nins did for her. While Suki was glad that the other girl was still alive, Nanai was beyond the word pissed. Not only because of the large cut she received that may remained stained on her stomach, but because Suki dared not to apologize to the girl. Getting up from the bed still injured, she then slapped Suki right across the face, leaving a fainted red mark on her left cheek. Furious, Nanai said some spiteful statements to the point where Suki would then get pissed off as well.
Eventually, Suki decided to take her leave out from the hospital to leave Nanai. Before she left, she then wished that she should've left Nana to bleed and out die slowly, whereas Nanai wished she should've punched Suki to death. From that day, those two haven't spoken to each other for months.
- Chuunin Exams/Years:
It's been months ever since Nanai has spoken to Suki, in which she felt bad for slapping her like that. Though, she wouldn't think that Suki would be able to accept her apology, but that didn't matter for now. The Chuunin Exams then arrived, where this was Nanai's chance to sign up and rank up to become a chuunin, despite her injury a few months back. Either way, she was still willing to take on some battles, no matter how bad her condition was.
Nanai ironically was first up for the battle, and it wasn't surprising to see her opponent: Suki. Anger came right back at the girl as she glared at her opponent. Suki on the other hand, gave on a friendly, yet somehow a hidden mischievous smile on her lips. Nanai unfortunately couldn't read emotions or thoughts, so she wasn't too sure why she was smiling, nor knew what was on her mind. But, that didn't matter for now, as these two had a battle to get to.
During the whole battle, Suki kept aiming for Nanai's stomach, which caused her to be paralyzed in pain for a few second, having Suki at a huge advantage. She then came into a realization that Suki intentionally sliced Nanai's stomach in order for the girl to have a cheap win with the battle. With strong resilience, she wasn't ready to back down just yet. Because of the realization, it looks her anger helped her boost up her skills in strength and speed, also with the fact that she wanted to defeat Suki and rub her win in her face. Eventually in the end, Nanai then defeated Suki with a very injured stomach, but decided to fight on without medical attention.
At the end, Nanai managed to win most of her matches, and has ranked up to becoming a chuunin, with a large cut on her stomach. After the exams were over, she had then taken the time to get into taijutsu, as she also got into learning a new element, which was of course fire.
- Jounin/Present:
After her years of becoming a chuunin, at the age of twenty three, Nanai was finally ranked to being a jounin. This meant that Nanai was now able to strive for a more collective title for her to hold, such as either an ANBU or even a Sannin, but of course she has to work for it. She still stands high and strong, even with the large scar on her stomach that remains on her stomach, continuing on her duties as a jounin of Iwagakure.
RP Sample: Nanai laid herself on top of a tree branch, leaning against the truth of the tree, with one leg hanging out and the other flat on the branch. Her arms were crossed, as she was currently in the training grounds of Iwagakure. Nana decided to get some rest, as she just recently came back from a mission where a bandit invaded into the village, which was somewhat hard with the bandit being an A-Rank. She watched as some genin and academy students were here to either train to get better with their skills, while others were simply playing games. It was actually a fairly sunny day, where the skies were still blue and the sun was still shining its rays, which can pretty much explain why the grounds were moderately packed. However, this gave Nanai horrible memories. Memories she wished she never had. It all happened right here, within the training fields of Iwagakure. She remembered this was where she almost died; where were stomach was widely sliced to the point where it was still visible today. Luckily, there were no sneak peaks of any organs being shown, so that was a good sign. Nanai's soft, light blue eyes stared at the leaves of the tree she laid upon, as she then passed a soft, quiet sigh. She wasn't too sure herself as to why she came here, knowing that memories will begin to haunt her with the events that happened in her childhood. She held her belt that covered her large scar, as the image of her once to be a friend, Suki, slashed her purposely for when the chuunin exams arrived, Nanai would be in a lot of pain, of which it happened. Luckily enough, Nanai came out victorious. However, that was her first near death experience, which of course Nai had the rights to be pissed on about. Yet somehow, it felt as if her friend never really meant to do that in the first place. Maybe it was... just out of her anger to commit such actions. Well, it didn't really matter for Nanai for now. She just came here to relax, as she has the ability to tune out the noise around her, but of course would be somewhat annoyed by it.
